YG Entertainment's new girl group BABYMONSTER consists of 7 members is a Multi-national girl group that has 3 Korean members, 2 Japanese members, and 2 Thai members. They are set to debut this year. On July 11, YG Entertainment confirmed that BABYMONSTER will have a strong debut song. They started working on the choreography and Music Video. YG aims to release it in September, this year. It is reported that YG invited famous producers from other countries to work with BABYMONSTER's debut album. BABYMONSTER's debut song with several tracks in the album is imminent. The rookie group's future projects and promotions will follow after their debut. In addition, BABYMONSTER's debut song was predicted to have a strong hip-hop genre following what 2NE1 and BLACKPINK have started. BABYMONSTER will be YG's first girl group after seven years since BLACKPINK debuted. In January 2023, when YG Entertainment announced that there will be a survival show for their new girl group and seven trainees will compete but only five will be chosen as the final lineup for their new girl group. After BABYMONSTER's final evaluation, YG's founder Yang Hyunsuk himself announced that all seven members will debut instead of five. Yang Hyunsuk said that Rora and Asa were chosen by the fans. They will be YG's first seven-piece girl group as their seniors, 2NE1 and BLACKPINK both consisting of four members. The groups consist of Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Haram, Ahyeon, Rora, and Chiquita.
