Ailee Hit with Pregnancy Rumors! Choi Si-hun Angrily Defends Her: “She’s Recovering Her Health”
Singer Ailee and her husband Choi Si-hun recently addressed sudden pregnancy rumors on their couple YouTube channel. Ailee admitted that she has indeed gained 2 to 3 kilograms because she’s been eating regularly and working hard to recover her health. Choi Si-hun couldn't hide his displeasure, stating that even though he wasn't the one being targeted, he felt angry and uncomfortable seeing outsiders directly write about her being pregnant.

Miyakojima Trip Hit by Heavy Rain; Mistake Restaurant Entrance
The couple recently uploaded a video titled “Honey, they say this is Japan’s Maldives…” on their YouTube channel, documenting their early summer vacation to Miyakojima, Japan. Before departing, Ailee expressed mixed feelings, saying she had planned to go swimming, but the weather forecast showed “rain until the day we return to Korea.”
Upon arriving in Miyakojima, they managed to check into their hotel amidst heavy rain, then went out to look for a shabu-shabu restaurant. To their surprise, after sitting down, they realized there was no shabu-shabu on the menu. It turned out Choi Si-hun had mistaken the restaurant entrance and walked into the wrong place. After a simple meal, they finally went to the restaurant they originally intended to visit.

Recovering After IVF Treatment, Ailee Admits Gaining 2 to 3 Kilograms
Speaking about Choi Si-hun’s dedication to finding delicious food, Ailee joked, “Because we’ve been doing IVF, and we’ve experienced a few failures, I’m trying to make my body healthier, so he feeds me all sorts of things. But I’ve gained 2 to 3 kilograms.”
Choi Si-hun initially said, “It’s okay to gain a little weight,” but then, addressing the pregnancy rumors, he admitted, “But then these pregnancy rumors started appearing. Even though I’m not the one involved, I got angry.” The original report indicated that the rumors began because Ailee recently appeared to have gained some weight.
Choi Si-hun continued, saying that they went through many difficult moments during the IVF process, and even though it was tough, they documented everything on YouTube because they wanted to create lasting memories and hoped to be grateful if something good happened.
Ailee also stated, “People might not know, they might not know what we’ve been through. When you do IVF, you’re supposed to gain weight and become healthier, but because it was so hard and stressful, I actually kept losing weight.”
Congratulated for Pregnancy, Couple Explains Themselves
Choi Si-hun explained that Ailee is currently in a recovery phase, eating well, and getting her health back. “This is a period where she needs to recover,” he said. He also mentioned that perhaps the reporters who wrote the articles were unaware of the situation, but directly stating she was pregnant felt uncomfortable.
Ailee laughed and asked, “Didn’t you receive a lot of congratulations?” Choi Si-hun replied, “My friends kept congratulating me, even two people yesterday. A company representative even came over and said, ‘Congratulations on Ailee’s pregnancy.’”
Regarding her weight change, Ailee openly stated, “I’ve eaten a lot of delicious food and become healthier. Because I’m eating more regularly, I have indeed gained weight, that’s a fact.” Choi Si-hun then firmly added, “If anyone criticizes her for gaining weight, they’re basically asking for a bare-knuckle fight.”
