AKMU officially announces their comeback with a legendary song that IU sang 9 years ago!

AKMU, made up of siblings Lee Chan-hyuk and Lee Su-hyun, has recently made a comeback, and the tracklist for their new single has been revealed, creating quite a buzz. YG Entertainment announced on the 14th, "AKMU's fourth single 'Love Lee', which will be released on the 21st, features the main track 'Love Lee' and 'Fried Egg's Dream'."

According to the tracklist released on the day, both songs were written and composed by Lee Chan-hyuk, with assistance from MILLENNIUM, SIHWANG, and ROVIN. The poster features a pink building and a gorgeous, shimmering disco ball. YG said, "For fans who have been waiting for a long time for AKMU, this comeback is like a 'precious gift'."

The title track "Love Lee" highlights AKMU's bright and refreshing energy, signifying the adorable word "Lovely", combined with the surname (Lee) of Lee Chan-hyuk and Lee Su-hyun, showcasing the unique musical color of AKMU.

The second track, "Fried Egg's Dream", was first revealed on November 22, 2014, at a music concert. At that time, Lee Chan Hyuk presented it to guest star Lee Ji Eun (IU), who performed the song live on stage. However, after that day, the song seemingly 'disappeared' which led the fans to believe that it was a legendary song.

When AKMU appeared on "IU's Palette" in 2021, they talked about the unreleased song "Fried Egg's Dream", saying, "I think that song belongs to IU. It was given when IU performed it at her concert." However, IU responded, "I think that song belongs to AKMU. Why wasn't it suggested for release?"
