Ahyeon won't debut with BABYMONSTER due to health reasons, YG Entertainment confirms
YG Entertainment's new girl group BABYMONSTER will officially debut with six members. However, Ahyeon, who is said to resemble senior group member BLACKPINK's Jennie, has been excluded from the debut member lineup.
According to a report from the Korean media outlet "News1" today, Ahyeon will not debut as a member of BABYMONSTER due to personal reasons. As a result, BABYMONSTER, originally planned to debut with seven members, will now confirm their debut with six members, excluding Ahyeon. However, Korean media also mentioned that Ahyeon might still have a chance to join BABYMONSTER in the future.

Ahyeon gained some fame even before making her debut because she resembles BLACKPINK's Jennie. When YG introduced Ahyeon in February this year, they praised her as an "all-around ACE," complimenting her as "not only a dancer with perfect main vocal abilities but also as a trainee with explosive rapping skills, embodying a well-rounded set of talents."
Especially in the promotional video at that time, YG's chief producer Yang Hyun-suk praised Ahyeon, saying, "She is a warrior with many weapons, and every time I see her, I wonder how she can have it all."

Due to personal reasons, Ahyeon will ultimately not debut as a member of BABYMONSTER. The final debut line-up will consist of the Korean members Haram and Rora, Thai members Parita and Chiquita, and the Japanese members Ruka and Asa, making a total of six members officially debuting.
After waiting for such a long time, the news has disappointed netizens who expressed their thoughts: "Isn't Ahyeon the Center? She's the most anticipated member, what a pity," "She should debut solo! She's the most eye-catching member!" and so on.

BABYMONSTER is YG's girl group debuting after 7 years following BLACKPINK, and they are set to debut on the 27th. BABYMONSTER's official YouTube channel has already garnered over 3.15 million subscribers before their official debut, and their total view count has surpassed 450 million, attracting significant public attention.

Although there were rumors that they would debut at the end of September, there was no debut. The official announcement today has confirmed that the group will officially debut in November. YG Entertainment uploaded a "Coming Soon" poster for the upcoming debut of BABYMONSTER on their official SNS at 1 PM on the 10th. YG has made several adjustments with famous overseas composers and in-house producers for the BABYMONSTER project, ensuring the debut song is released with exceptionally high quality. YG stated, "We were very careful when choosing the title song, and this process took a little bit longer than the initially planned debut in September. We hope for everyone's understanding." They explained the reason for the delay in their debut date.
然而,引起最多爭議的卻是這個部分「希望BPM能有RIIZE《GET A GUITAR》的程度」以及製作人放上的參考曲目,包含SOMI的「Dumb Dumb」、「XOXO」還有RIIZE的「Get A Guitar」還有DUA Lipa的「New Rules」。
