Korean actress Baek Jin-hee (백진희) and Yoon Hyun-min (윤현민) first sparked romance while filming the drama My Daughter, Geum Sa-wol. The couple officially began dating in April 2016, after the drama concluded, and publicly confirmed their relationship in March of the following year, becoming a well-known celebrity couple. Their relationship lasted approximately seven years until they announced their breakup in September 2023. At the time, both agencies stated that the couple had naturally grown apart due to busy work schedules and projects, ultimately deciding to return to a colleague relationship.
Now, this seven-year relationship is back in the spotlight. Baek recently appeared on her friend Jung Hye-sung's (정혜성) YouTube show. Unexpectedly, when the conversation turned to relationships, Jung "revealed" and playfully criticized Baek, stating that she had repeatedly advised Baek to break up in the past, even to the point where Baek's "ears almost grew calluses." Baek burst into laughter on the spot, bringing renewed attention to their past romance.
On May 18, the YouTube channel "jinyisback" released its latest video, featuring Jung and Baek sharing updates over brunch. During their chat, they also discussed Baek's current life and relationship status.
Baek revealed a small recent concern, saying, "I don't seem to have anything I particularly like." Jung then asked, "Do you have to have something you like? How do you usually relieve stress?" Baek replied, "Actually, I just cry at home, and then it's over."
Hearing this, Jung felt both sympathetic and helpless, revealing that her friend has always had this personality. "Yes, she never relies on anyone. Whenever something happens, she always handles it alone."
Jung believes that having someone reliable by your side is incredibly important and hopes her friend will meet a truly suitable partner in the future. "I think it's important who is by your side at that time. If you meet a good person who won't let her cry alone and will comfort her when something happens, that would be great." Even the production team couldn't help but comment, "(Baek) should hurry up and start dating."

However, this comment instantly switched Jung into "friend-criticism mode." She looked directly at Baek and said, "You dated the wrong person before. How many times did I tell you to break up? I talked until your ears grew calluses." She then helplessly added that Baek didn't seem to listen to her advice much. "She doesn't really listen to me; I've given up hope. Please, I just hope you don't meet another weirdo like that again."

Jung's incredibly blunt remarks made everyone on set burst into laughter. Baek also couldn't stop laughing, responding, "You scold me every day. I'll do better."
Their interaction highlighted their deep friendship to netizens. Although Jung was unsparing in her words, even directly criticizing her friend for "dating the wrong person," every word revealed her concern for Baek and her hope that Baek would find someone truly reliable in her next relationship.
