The first K-pop girl group without any Korean members! BLACKSWAN's new song receives immense praise, driving netizens into a frenzy!

In recent years, many K-pop idol groups have included Korean members along with members from other nationalities. However, BLACKSWAN is a unique girl group as all of its members are foreign, making them the first K-pop girl group without any Korean members.

BLACKSWAN actually did have Korean members initially, but with the subsequent departures of Korean members Youngheun, Hyeme, and Judy, they have become a 'K-pop girl group without any Korean members' since last year, which has sparked hot discussions among netizens.

BLACKSWAN is currently comprised of four members: Gabi from Germany, Nvee from the United States, Fatou from Belgium, and Sriya from India. All of them are foreign members, representing a diverse international lineup.

Team leader Fatou also shared the story of how she got into K-pop during an interview: 'A friend showed me a short clip of SHINee's "Replay" when I was 15, and I instantly fell in love! I started learning and practicing Girls' Generation's dances and songs after school. I had a dream of being part of a K-pop girl group, so at the age of 24, I came to Korea,' and that journey led to the formation of BLACKSWAN we see today.

However, some netizens raised doubts about whether it can be considered K-pop, saying, "Isn't K-pop just a genre of music?" and "Can it be called K-pop without any Korean members?!" However, the members of BLACKSWAN have their own perspective, stating, "If we showcase stylish songs and dances in Korean, that is what we consider as K-pop!"

BLACKSWAN also released a new song last month titled "Karma," with the majority of the lyrics in Korean, and it flowed smoothly. After watching their performances, many netizens praised them, saying, "I watched the stage performance and MV, and they did a great job!! Singing in Korean and being active in Korea makes it K-pop, regardless of what others think!"

"After watching it, I really liked it! Their performance on stage in Korean, their dancing is great, and they look so cool!" "They sing Korean so well! The rap part is especially cool!"
