All BTS members are about to enlist in the military!

The management company of the popular South Korean boy band BTS, BIGHIT MUSIC, announced today that the four members who have not yet enlisted are beginning the process for their military service. The schedule will be made public once it is confirmed.

The company BIGHIT MUSIC, to which BTS belongs, announced on November 22nd through the fan communication platform Weverse, "RM, JIMIN, V, and JUNGKOOK have begun the process related to fulfilling their military service obligations."

The talent agency stated that RM, JIMIN, V, and JUNGKOOK, four members of the group, will enlist in the military in succession. They also mentioned, "Until the day they return healthy and well, we hope everyone will provide them with warm support and the same love as always. The company will also continue to support and cherish our artists."

Members of BTS were recommended by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2020 to postpone their military service until the age of 30. As per their individual work schedules, the members have been submitting applications to cancel the postponement of their service. Following Jin, the oldest member who enlisted last year, J-Hope and SUGA have also begun their military service in succession this year.

Four members of BTS will enlist in the military service according to the dates specified in their draft notices, which could be as soon as this year or early next year. After all members of BTS have completed their military service, the earliest they might reunite and meet with fans again is possibly in 2025.
