On August 8, a month before V's solo debut, Bighit Music revealed details about V's upcoming solo, starting with its title “Layover”, and the promotional schedule details about the album. The contents of V's promotional schedule are said to be V's handwritten and it became a hot topic among fans.

His solo album recently became a hot topic too due to his collaboration with Producer Min Heejin, the Found of ADOR and NewJeans' producer. Expectations are high since Min Heejin did a great job with NewJeans' music.

In addition, the album also consists of handwritten notes, letters, and delivery making it look more creative. The album in general looked like a gift box. As a result, ARMYs expressed their happiness and how proud they are after seeing the album.

V said that it was awkward to write a handwritten letter after a long time but expressed well his affection for his fans for the past 10 years and his feelings while working on his album. He thanked the ARMYs for staying with him for 10 years which made the fans emotional.

He also reminisced about his thick eyeliner back then saying, “It feels like yesterday that I had a showcase with a very thick eyeliner 10 years ago. I can't believe the little guy who makes trouble with a smile is now a solo album,” he said, touching fans' hearts by recalling his appearance at the beginning of his debut when his strong makeup was his signature.

As V showed his confidence with this album, he also said that he had been preparing for his solo debut for a long time since the schedules have been delayed a lot. V said that he was able to think a lot and prepare harder because of this.

Overall, V will pre-release two songs this month and will make his official debut by releasing his full album next month, on September 8, 2023.
