Byul Reveals HAHA's Words That Convinced Her to Marry Him

South Korean entertainer HAHA (Ha Dong-hoon, 하동훈) and singer Byul (Kim Go-eun, 김고은) married in 2012. Parents to two sons and one daughter, they lead a happy family life and are widely recognized as one of the entertainment industry's most exemplary couples. Byul recently disclosed the crucial reason she decided to marry HAHA, citing a remark that remains unforgettable to her and was the primary factor in her decision to wed.

The YouTube channel 'Compassion' recently released a preview video titled "HAHA, Byul, The Husband's Words That Made Her Decide to Marry." In the video, Byul shared an anecdote from when she and HAHA were discussing marriage.

She recalled that her father had been bedridden for a long time due to illness. Before deciding to marry, she took HAHA to visit him at the hospital. After the visit, as they drove away, HAHA remained silent, causing her to overthink the situation.

Byul revealed, "After leaving the hospital room, my oppa (HAHA) drove in silence the whole way. I thought to myself, 'Is he starting to hesitate about marrying me?'" She admitted that she had expected HAHA to offer words of comfort like, "You must be having a hard time," "You've really suffered all these years," or "You're truly amazing." However, his first words were completely unexpected.

HAHA told her, "Go-eun, it's an honor for me to become a part of this family." He then added, "Seeing your family care for a sick person together for 10 years, supporting and loving each other, that's the family I've always dreamed of. If I can become family with people like you in the future, I won't be afraid of anything."
