Celebrities are investing 100 million to promote themselves on a popular YouTube channel?!
In recent years, the influence of Internet programs such as YouTube is said to be increasing more than television programs. YouTubers with over a million subscribers are becoming the new topic-makers of this generation. Gradually, it also has become a new route for many celebrities to promote their new works.

However, what is the real cost of appearing on a popular internet show for promotion? Recently, Korean media revealed the real price that actors paid for promotional activities on popular YouTube channels before their TV shows and movies were released, sparking a lot of online discussion.
According to reports, unlike radio programs, to be able to appear on a famous and topical online program platform, it costs at least tens of millions of Korean won. Moreover, the price can be determined by the number of channel subscriptions, and there are not a few shows that charge over 100 million won.

Recent insiders of upcoming new works recently told Korean media OSEN, "To appear on a channel with nearly 3 million subscribers, at least 100 million won must be paid." In other words, it costs money to appear on YouTube online programs, which is completely different from the way in which artists used to get appearance fees and rewards for appearing on TV programs.
