Haidilao Employee Dubbed 'Noodle Cha Eun-woo' Goes Viral Again for Masterful Noodle-Pulling Skills
Earlier this year, a male employee at a Haidilao restaurant in Daegu, South Korea, shot to internet fame overnight due to his striking resemblance to Cha Eun-woo (차은우) of the K-pop group ASTRO. Many customers even made special trips to the restaurant just to catch a glimpse of him. Months later, his latest update has sparked renewed discussion, with the focus shifting from his good looks to the impressive skill he has developed through dedicated practice of noodle-pulling.
The employee, Lee Yo-seop (이요셉), quickly gained popularity on social media in January for his Cha Eun-woo-like appearance. As he was responsible for the noodle-pulling service at Haidilao, Korean netizens affectionately nicknamed him "Myeon Eun-woo" (면은우), combining the Korean word for "noodle" (면) with "Eun-woo," which became a trending topic.
At the time, many customers filmed and shared videos of him working online. His tall stature, fair skin, and sharp features led many to exclaim, "He really has a Cha Eun-woo vibe." Some overseas netizens even jokingly called him the "Temu version of Cha Eun-woo."
However, a recent video circulating on Korean social media has completely changed public perception of him. In the video, Lee Yo-seop skillfully twirls an extra-long noodle. His movements are not only fluid but also involve rapid spinning and whipping, making the noodle dance around him like a weapon in a martial arts film. Many netizens jokingly commented, "He's practically a martial arts master!"
One netizen shared their dining experience, stating, "I heard he had been promoted to work at the bar, so I didn't expect to see his noodle-pulling performance in person. Even as a man, I found him truly handsome and charming; the entire performance was captivating."
