The male group EXO is facing changes, with members successively announcing their contract termination with SM. Today, the leader Suho communicated with fans through a fan communication platform, expressing his own thoughts.

Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin notified SM in June that they will terminate their exclusive contracts. They expressed their desire to leave SM, citing unfair long-term contracts and lack of settlement data. They claimed they were forced to sign unequal contracts and filed a lawsuit against SM with the Fair Trade Commission.

The release of EXO's 7th regular album "EXIST" is just around the corner, and the conflict over exclusive contracts has temporarily ended. However, following this, Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin decided to leave SM and establish their own companies. It is reported that Baekhyun will establish a personal company with a choreographer. In response to rumors of contract termination with Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin, SM said, "The new exclusive contract is valid, and EXO's group activities will continue. Although the specific settlement conditions cannot be disclosed, according to the agreement with the company, they are allowed to continue personal activities". Therefore, the possibility of the three carrying out personal activities outside of SM is quite high.

Afterwards, rumors spread that Sehun and Chanyeol are leaving SM, but SM said they are not true. The contracts signed between SM and EXO members at the end of last year are effective, and EXO's activities will continue with SM.

However, yesterday it was revealed that D.O.'s individual contract will expire in November, and his future individual entertainment contract will be handled by a new company, with only EXO's group activities continuing with SM. SM also acknowledged that the two sides had a long discussion about the exclusive contract, concluding that 'EXO activities will be done together, individual activities separately', D.O. has set up a new company with his manager who has long helped him with his entertainment activities at SM.
