G-Dragon addresses alleged drug rumors in exclusive interview

On the 13th, G-Dragon personally took part in an exclusive interview with Korea's United News TV, firmly maintaining his stance that he has never used drugs.

G-Dragon decided to accept the interview in order to convey his innocence to the public and stated that he definitely did not use drugs.

Regarding the reason for voluntarily appearing at the police station for an investigation, G-Dragon stated: "Since I haven't taken any drugs and am not related to the drug crime suspicions this time, I appeared voluntarily in order to prove my innocence as soon as possible." On the other hand, some questioned his demeanor on the day of his appearance as seeming to mock the public, to which G-Dragon replied, "Given the situation that day, I was actually a bit bewildered. After all, I'm human and can get nervous, so any misunderstandings that arose were certainly not my intention."

When asked about his relationship with the female manager of an entertainment venue and a drug supplier, he reiterated, "I have no relationship with them whatsoever. Let me repeat, all the allegations about me being involved in this drug crime are not true." Regarding the issues that the drugs came from a doctor and the claims by the entertainment venue's female manager about finding suspicious wrapping paper in the restroom that G-Dragon allegedly visited, G-Dragon expressed helplessly, "I can't comment on the doctor's part as I don’t even know who that doctor is. As for the venue manager, I only learned about who they are through media reports."

Regarding reports and questions about hair removal prior to attending the investigation, G-Dragon said: "It is completely untrue. Since the start of my album activities last year, it has been more than a year and a half since I have bleached or dyed my hair. To prove my innocence as quickly as possible, I voluntarily submitted my hair, fingernails, and toenails when I appeared in court."

Lastly, regarding the public's numerous speculations after seeing G-Dragon's incoherent speech and excessive body movements, G-Dragon revealed, "I started my career as a child star from the age of 6 and have lived in the entertainment industry for 30 years. Because I've spent a long time dancing, my body is a bit more flexible than the average person's."

And he continued, "I'm well aware that due to my profession, every word I say carries influence and can also be potentially misinterpreted. Therefore, I've become very cautious about how I speak. Thinking over every word like this has led to such misunderstandings."

G-Dragon candidly expressed, "I understand that as a public figure, of course there's a part that must withstand scrutiny by the public. However, to be entangled in this drug incident, to be honest, it truly saddens me. If there are aspects of myself that need correction today, I am willing to accept guidance. The reason I'm taking this interview today is also to convey that, whether it's the media or people who have actually interacted with me, I am just as willing to respond honestly and sincerely to any uncertainties."
