Every move made by BIGBANG member G-Dragon (권지용) on social media consistently garners significant attention, with even a single 'like' capable of sparking widespread discussion. Recently, he was playfully teased on a show for his 'likes making headlines,' which in turn led netizens to revisit his past rumored relationships with BLACKPINK's Jennie (김제니) and model Kiko Mizuhara.
On May 20, Epik High's official YouTube channel, 'EPIKASE,' released its latest video titled "Family Gathering ft. BIGBANG." The episode featured a "3-on-3" get-together with BIGBANG members G-Dragon, Taeyang (동영배), and Daesung (강대성), alongside Epik High's Tablo (이선웅), DJ Tukutz (김정식), and Mithra Jin (최진).
As BIGBANG celebrates its 20th debut anniversary, the two groups fulfilled a previous promise, bringing BIGBANG to 'EPIKASE.' Upon meeting, the members immediately engaged in relaxed and hilarious interactions.
Before the main discussion began, the conversation quickly turned to G-Dragon's 'likes.' DJ Tukutz noted that G-Dragon often likes videos related to himself, joking, "The moment you hit like, it becomes news." This statement highlighted G-Dragon's immense social media influence, where even a seemingly insignificant action can draw significant media and public attention. Tablo joined in the teasing, adding, "Don't just hit like casually; that like is more valuable than you think," which sent the set into laughter.

Epik High even took the joke further, playfully suggesting that to earn G-Dragon's likes, they might start making all their YouTube video thumbnails related to BIGBANG, claiming it would be worth it just to get his 'Like.' This further emphasized G-Dragon's high profile and trending power on social media.

Indeed, G-Dragon's past 'likes' have frequently sparked heated discussions. In particular, his likes on posts related to his rumored ex-partners have often escalated from simple social media interactions into news headlines.
In January of this year, G-Dragon was observed liking, then unliking, a video of BLACKPINK member Jennie's performance at the Golden Disc Awards. Given their past dating rumors, even this single 'like' triggered various speculations.

Then in July, he was again seen liking a post related to Japanese model and actress Kiko Mizuhara, with whom he had been repeatedly rumored to be dating in the past, drawing renewed attention. While G-Dragon and Mizuhara were frequently linked, neither ever officially confirmed their relationship.

However, G-Dragon has previously explained that his 'likes' carry no special meaning. In February of this year, during an appearance on Daesung's YouTube channel 'Daesung's House,' he discussed his social media liking habits, revealing he has no particular criteria. He simply browses posts quickly when he has time, liking them as he sees them, sometimes even accidentally hitting the wrong button.
Despite his explanations, G-Dragon's 'likes' are still often overanalyzed, even capable of bringing past dating rumors back into the spotlight. It's no wonder DJ Tukutz's remark, "The moment you hit like, it becomes news," combined with Tablo's "Don't just hit like casually," turned out to be the most fitting commentary.
Separately, BIGBANG celebrated its 20th debut anniversary on May 19 with the release of their new song, "BiiiG (빅)," their first in approximately four years. The group is also set to meet global fans with a world tour concert at Goyang Sports Complex for three consecutive days, starting from May 21.
