Korean netizens outraged over GD's marijuana charge without a proper investigation by the police

After the drug-related scandal involving actor Lee Sun-kyun broke out, it not only shocked the entertainment industry, but the controversy continues to smolder even now, revealing even more inside stories. Even the artist G-Dragon is implicated, attracting a lot of public attention.

However, previous Korean media reports claimed that GD was not only under investigation but was also targeted as a subject for travel restrictions, making the whole incident increasingly complicated. It also led many to be more confident in their suspicions regarding GD's alleged involvement in drug-related matters.

Recently, a netizen posted related police interview content online, where the police stated: "We will also investigate Mr. Kwon who claimed that he has not taken drugs on the 6th. However, so far, we have not received a search warrant to seize any of Kwon's items like his phone, hair, urine, etc."

Then, a person related to the police also revealed: "Since it's unclear whether there will be arbitrary requests for him to submit his cell phone and undergo a physical examination after his attendance, and at the time he wasn't actively called to attend, we plan to listen to his statements".

However, in contrast to the previous case, the police stated, "This time, GD will voluntarily cooperate with the investigation, so we won't apply for a search warrant again, but rather gather evidence through arbitrary investigations. In addition, we plan to conduct a simple reagent test by collecting urine and hair samples, and we will commission the National Scientific Investigation Institute to conduct a precision examination."
