Heize翻唱爭議越演越烈！新沙洞老虎幫說話竟遭嗆：你算什麼？

28日歌手Heize在自己的IG公開了12月7日將發行的迷你專輯曲目，卻因為收錄曲中包含了BEAST(現Highlight)的歌曲「Mignight」而遭到網友惡評洗版。
而Heize的IG被洗版，還被網友轉傳到論壇引發一陣討論，29日「Midnight」作曲家新沙洞老虎也透過自己的推特上傳了好幾則貼文，並說明了Heize翻唱的正當性。
首先新沙洞老虎表示「這首歌並不只是作詞作曲的原作家的歌、也不只是翻唱的Heize的歌，這首歌也是在舞台上表演的成員以及對這首歌有共鳴的粉絲的歌曲，所以希望大家不要太受傷」。
接著更解釋「這首歌並不是被搶走了，而是還有跟原作家、成員們以及粉絲們一樣喜歡這首歌的人，希望大家可以這麼想」接著補充「我覺得這是Highlight粉絲們，因為他們原本的團名『BEAST」被搶走之後，累積了許多不滿才反映在這上面』。
然而在新沙洞老虎幫忙說話後，卻有許多網友連新沙洞老虎都一起攻擊，還有推特網友拿出新沙洞老虎接受韓媒訪問時，韓媒下的新聞標題「Heize，為了賺錢的翻唱NO」來說嘴，批評「如果不是為了賺錢，為什麼都只唱那些好歌，超好笑，如果這麼喜歡就拿龍俊亨的SOLO曲來翻唱啊」、「不是為了賺錢，那要捐出來嗎？」。
連新沙洞老虎都被炎上的事再度被轉傳到論壇，《the qoo》網友還列了幾點反駁批評Heize的網友的論點「1.為什麼不標註原唱>有哪首翻唱歌曲有標註過原唱的、2.新沙洞老虎有什麼資格同意>他…是原作曲家、3.不是因為她跟龍俊亨很熟所以才這樣嗎>是在說Heize嗎？、4.她討厭唱龍俊亨的歌>這首歌也不是龍俊亨寫的，只有rap部分他能拿到一些著作權費用，而且Highlight不是也會唱龍俊亨的歌、5.唱了他們兩首歌很奇怪>一次是OST，去跟製作單位反應吧、6.為什麼不跟元暢說，就這樣用翻唱方式把歌搶走？>那梁耀燮翻唱SG WANNABE的歌有獲得原唱同意嗎？、7.Heize在蹭Highlight熱度>比起Midnight，Heize其他歌應該更有名…」
網友們也批評留惡評的網友「通常不懂的人最愛說」、「看自己的粉絲這樣…原唱歌手應該覺得很丟臉吧…」、「從BEAST全盛期來看，現在的粉絲年齡大概是落在20歲後半到30歲左右，為什麼會這樣…」。

They believe that since Heize is singing songs previously performed by active singers, she should at least label them as "cover" or indicate "Midnight (2023)" instead of listing the tracks as if they were her own songs. They expressed that what Heize is doing is equivalent to stealing other people's songs and is lacking in business ethics. However, some netizens have spoken out in rebuttal, arguing that covering the songs of active singers is not illegal and pointing out that since this is an official album release, there surely must have been coordination with the concerned parties. They go directly at those who accuse Heize of lacking business ethics, saying those accusers are the ones without ethics, since a simple look at the songwriting credits would reveal that it's a cover version. The Instagram post and its comments were promptly put up for discussion on the forum "the qoo," which also sparked discussions among netizens. Some of the reactions included, "Although I can understand the fans' feelings, going there to curse someone seems a bit too much," "What's the problem here...? Reading that comment about stealing someone else's song left me speechless; I actually thought it was about plagiarism," and "In the era of capitalism, what's wrong with obtaining copyright through legitimate transactions with powerful people to release an album?" "Aren't these kinds of things originally not labeled??" "My idol also wrote in the album introduction that they covered someone's song, so it's not specifically written on the tracklist.
