Actor Hwang Jung-min Denies Affair Allegations, Agency Cites Stalking

年糕歐巴7/29/2026 1 min read

South Korean actor Hwang Jung-min (황정민) is facing controversy regarding his private life after a woman shared alleged call recordings and messages on social media, accusing him of having an inappropriate relationship while married. The posts quickly spread across Korean online communities, sparking widespread discussion. In response, Hwang Jung-min's agency, SAM Company, released an official statement today (July 29), completely denying the allegations.

The woman making the allegations expressed her anger in the post, stating, "What Hwang Jung-min is best at is calling women when he's drunk and imitating other women's voices. Two weeks ago, you explicitly said, 'Let's take a break for now,' and I did, keeping my distance. But the real problem is that you still broke your promise and called me first."

She continued, "Now you're asking what kind of relationship we had? You treated me like a dog, and that's why we fought like dogs. If you want someone to entertain you, go to a hostess bar; at least there you have to pay for someone to listen to you."

The woman also angrily accused Hwang Jung-min of portraying her as a "one-sided stalker" and questioned his attempts to use the media to frame himself as a victim. She stated, "Don't try to use the media to package yourself as a one-sided victim. You were the one who humbly begged for reconciliation, and I trusted you and gave you the relevant documents. But then you dragged it out until after your movie was released, changed your mind, and backed out. This time, I'd like to see how you plan to explain this to everyone."

Additionally, the woman revealed that she has filed a civil lawsuit for damages and accused Hwang Jung-min of deliberately delaying and refusing to respond. She further claimed that he habitually uses a "preemptive strike" method to cover up controversies.

As the allegations included audio recordings and chat screenshots, the incident quickly ignited discussion. However, Hwang Jung-min's agency promptly issued a statement refuting them, saying, "The person who disseminated malicious posts related to Hwang Jung-min is a suspect in a stalking crime who has continuously harassed Hwang Jung-min over a long period."

The agency further stated that Hwang Jung-min has filed a criminal complaint against the accuser. The court has issued three temporary restraining orders, including a no-contact order, and found her guilty of stalking, issuing a summary judgment with a fine of 3 million Korean Won (approximately 70,000 New Taiwan Dollars).

Furthermore, the agency emphasized that the audio recordings and post content circulating online have been maliciously edited and do not represent the full truth. They stated, "SAM Company will take further legal action against posts that have been maliciously edited and disseminated. We deeply apologize for the trouble this incident has caused the public."

Currently, both sides maintain their positions. Hwang Jung-min's side has denied the allegations and stressed that the incident is fundamentally a stalking case. The full truth of the matter remains to be clarified.
