It was recently reported that MAMAMOO's Hwasa is dating an entrepreneur who is 12 years older than her. Hwasa herself revealed that she was the one who made the first move. Korean media also highlighted Hwasa's previous mentions of her love life on various shows, which has garnered significant attention from netizens.

In the 2018 tvN variety show "Life Bar," Hwasa from MAMAMOO shared her experience of having a one-sided crush for a year and eventually entering into a relationship with an average office worker. Hwasa expressed, "If I have someone I love, I am willing to let go of my ego. He was initially an ordinary office worker, which is why he hesitated. When he said he was tired, I told him how much I missed him. He, too, wasn't skilled in love, and that's why we were compatible."
