娛樂公司 HYBE Label 選秀 Instagram 官方帳號於上月 31 日上傳了有關『Genius 選角計劃」的文章，並在內文介紹了從本月1日開始進行到本月末的HYBE的第一個選角計畫，文章寫到了：「歡迎推薦 HYBE 新一代男子組合門面成員！」的相關文字。

如果想參加選秀，必須是2001年以後出生的居住於韓國或日本的男性，可以推薦本人或周邊朋友的部分與一般選秀方式十分不同，在招募公告中作爲指定"顏值成員"，出衆的外貌將決定面試合格的勝負。

另外吸引粉絲們注意的地方，只要推薦的朋友參加面試或走到簽約階段，就可以收到蘋果公司的最新式電子產品作爲禮物，進行了大規模的禮物贈送活動，預計多數歌手練習生都會報名參加這次選秀，HYBE方面還用日語發佈了相關文章，鼓勵大家多多關注和參與。
