ITZY's Lia temporarily suspends her activities!

ITZY member Lia posted a handwritten letter on ITZY's official channel today, stating that she will temporarily suspend activities due to health issues. Fans are also expressing their concerns.

Lia wrote in her letter: "Our MIDZYs (Official name of ITZY's fans), you must have been surprised to hear the news today! Whenever I feel a bit unwell, MIDZY would worry about me. I know you must be heartbroken and sad to hear this news. But at the same time, MIDZY understands and trusts me more than anyone else. Therefore, I know everyone will understand me and wait for me. That's why I gathered courage this time."

Lia also mentioned the time she has spent with her members since debut: "Having the same dream with my members, it's been 6 years together unknowingly! Being able to come this far, it's all thanks to our members and MIDZY."

In her handwritten letter, Lia mentioned her mental state, "Although the time was very precious, I gradually lost myself for the sake of improvement. Because the members and MIDZY always cherish me more than anyone else, I also only want to give them love and happiness. And because of that, I think I now need a little time to learn to love myself and compensate myself."

Lia then said, "In order to repay our MIDZYs for their waiting and worry, I will return in good health. I am always thankful to everyone. I love you guys."

ITZY's agency, JYP Entertainment, also said that member Lia has recently sought medical advice and examination due to extreme nervousness and anxiety. After careful discussion with the company and members, it was decided to let Lia take a temporary rest from today and focus on treatment. JYP Entertainment also mentioned that the decision on when Lia will resume activities will be made after sufficient consultation with her and the other members.
