The reason for IVE's comeback with three title songs revealed

The popular girl group IVE is set to make a swift return to the music scene on the 13th with the release of their first mini album "I'VE MINE". Today (8th), at a press roundtable meet and greet, they revealed for the first time the reason for their comeback with three main songs.

On the 8th, the girl group IVE attended a press conference for "SHOW WHAT I HAVE" and their first mini album "I'VE MINE" at the Olympic Road Indoor Gymnasium in Silkworm Room.

At that time, the members were asked why they chose to return with three title songs in the new album. The member Liz was the first one to say, "Rather than being limited to one image, it would be better to show a more diverse me. Because many people have different preferences, we chose to come back with three title songs of different concepts".

Jang Wonyoung also revealed, "At first, I wanted to express different aspects of myself through the connection of stories, but then we discussed about showing myself from different perspectives, so we decided to return with three main songs."

And Gaeul, who was by the side, joined in the explanation: "The members wanted to show three different charms, so they prepared three title songs." Autumn also expressed that initially, there were worries about whether they could handle performance for three title songs, but surprisingly their performance was very good while shooting the MV.

Next, the meaning of the three main tracks was analyzed, pointing out that all three main tracks are songs about 'me'. However, 'Either Way' is the 'me' seen from the perspective of others, 'Off the Record' tells my own story. Lastly, 'BADDIE', which will be released on the 13th comeback day, is about finding another self within oneself.

On the 27th, a post causing heated discussions appeared on the online forum. The post, titled "IVE MV is very similar to NewJeans," was uploaded and attracted many netizens to join the never-ending debate. In the article, the netizen who wrote the post shared three scenes from IVE's new song "Either way" MV that are identical to those in the NewJeans' MV, and expressed that such similarities are unlikely to be a coincidence. Netizens pointed out three alleged plagiarism points. First, An Yu Jin's mischievous expression in front of the camera. Second, the members slowly emerging from the water.
