IVE member Liz (김지원) recently filmed a TikTok video with ATEEZ member Choi San (최산). However, the short dance challenge unexpectedly drew strong criticism from some netizens, with accusations that she “wasn’t putting in any effort.” Critics called the entire video insincere, sparking a debate between supporters and detractors.
ATEEZ recently released their new song “Drip,” and member Choi San has been collaborating with other artists on dance challenges. Liz appeared with Choi San to film the “Drip” dance challenge, completing the choreography on camera. However, after the video was released, the comment section saw numerous negative remarks directed at Liz.
Some netizens felt Liz’s dance moves were too relaxed, leading to accusations of “not putting in any effort.” Comments included: “Girl, you really gave nothing,” “I’m dying of laughter, she clearly doesn’t care at all,” “Is this Liz?” “Is this the ‘no effort version’? Okay,” and “Did her social battery run out?” Others directly asked, “Liz, do you even want to dance?”
Some even joked about the new song’s title, “Drip,” calling her the “starving version of Drip,” suggesting the entire dance looked perfunctory. These comments made the video’s comment section highly contentious.

However, not all netizens agreed with the criticism. Some came to Liz’s defense, arguing that it was merely a casual dance challenge, and there was no need to demand maximum effort from an idol for every move.
One netizen commented, “What are you all doing in the comments section? Please, it’s just a dance challenge!” Others defended Choi San, pointing out that when he participated in IVE’s “Looks Can Kill” dance challenge, he also filmed a more relaxed version without full effort. They argued that people shouldn’t take it too seriously.
The same netizen further stated, “You’re all talking in the comments section as if Choi San hasn’t done a relaxed version of ‘Looks Can Kill.’ Relax, it’s just a TikTok dance challenge.”
Currently, the video has sparked a two-sided discussion online. One side believes Liz’s dance performance was “too weak” and lacked engagement, while the other argues that dance challenges have no fixed standard, and artists don’t always need to perform with maximum intensity. This short collaborative video has unexpectedly become a focal point of debate among fans and netizens.
