Jay Park is considering retirement from the industry?

On the 25th, Jay Park appeared on MBC's variety show "Omniscient Interfering View," once again bringing up his retirement plans, capturing the attention of the entire studio.

In the show, Jay Park's day was revealed. On that day, Jay Park exercised with his close friend and former MMA fighter "The Korean Zombie" Jung Chan-sung. After the workout, they went to have a meal together, during which Jung Chan-sung asked Jay Park, "Didn't you say you were going to retire?" to which Jay Park briskly replied, "It would be nice to retire, of course, but I want to retire after I've done everything I wanted to do."

In fact, Jay Park has often mentioned the topic of retirement. Back in 2019, he indicated plans to retire after two years. In February 2023, when facing his senior colleague, Im Chang-Jung, he again spoke of wanting to retire. Even his manager said, "He seems to have a habit of talking about this, since he mentions it so often... so we still don't know when he will actually retire."

The host Hong Hyun-hee, after seeing the agent's reaction, couldn't help but tease, "The more a person is like that, the less likely they are to actually do it." Hearing Hong Hyun-hee's words, Jay Park also revealed that in fact, he had been contemplating retirement since 2012.

Jay Park explained, "I keep on going because I still have a role to play right now. When one day this role disappears, I can easily let go of all this, and it seems like I'm slowly walking on this path."

In fact, Jay Park is also known as a CEO singer. After terminating his contract with JYP in the early 2010s, he established the management and planning company AOMG in 2014. Subsequently, in 2017, he founded the hip-hop company H1GHR MUSIC, and in 2022, he set up a new company called MORE VISION. He even owns his own liquor brand, WON Soju.
