Jeon Wook-min (전욱민), the 38-year-old younger brother of South Korean actress Jeon So-min (전소민), 40, recently shared an update on his life. He revealed he currently supports himself by working as a delivery driver while continuing to pursue his dream of becoming an actor, confessing he sometimes feels "embarrassed." His candid remarks have drawn significant attention.
On the 11th, Jeon Wook-min uploaded a video to his personal social media, writing, "I have to keep running today." In the video, he shared his experiences growing up as Jeon So-min's brother, the origins of his acting dream, and his current daily life.
Jeon Wook-min revealed, "My sister is a famous actress, and thanks to her, I've appeared on several shows, which made me dream of becoming an actor too." Having observed his sister's entertainment career up close for a long time, he admitted that the profession didn't seem so out of reach for him. "Watching from the side, it felt very familiar, so honestly, I really thought I would succeed too back then."
However, upon facing reality, Jeon Wook-min discovered that things were not as easy as he had imagined. He confessed, "The wall of reality is much higher and thicker than I thought." Now 38 years old, he lamented, "I'm already 38, and I'll be 40 soon. I don't have an impressive resume, nor have I saved any money."
Furthermore, because his sister is a celebrity, people around him previously assumed his family was well-off and that he had a lot of money. But Jeon Wook-min emphasized, "Everyone thought I was rich because my sister is an entertainer. But that money has nothing to do with me; it's all my sister's money, earned by her."
To make ends meet while continuing to pursue what he truly wants to do, Jeon Wook-min currently works as a delivery driver. He admitted, "I do delivery work to do what I want to do." However, he didn't shy away from admitting that he occasionally feels awkward about the job. "Sometimes I feel embarrassed. It's hard to talk about doing delivery work at this age."
Despite facing voices that tell him "it's too late," Jeon Wook-min has no intention of giving up. He stated that people around him say it's too late to start now. "Some say, 'When you feel it's too late, it really is too late,' but there's another saying, 'When you feel it's too late, that's actually the earliest time.'" Jeon Wook-min said he decided to believe the latter, and thus, "I have to keep running today," re-motivating himself to continue striving.
Jeon Wook-min previously appeared on shows like the SBS variety program Running Man's "Family Special" as Jeon So-min's brother, allowing viewers to become familiar with his appearance and personality.
Meanwhile, Jeon So-min officially entered the entertainment industry in 2004 through the MBC sitcom Miracle. Shortly after her debut, she appeared in popular dramas such as East of Eden and Princess Aurora, gradually solidifying her position as an actress.
In addition to her drama work, Jeon So-min was also a regular cast member on the long-running SBS variety show Running Man, where her natural and excellent variety skills earned her audience affection. She is currently appearing in the MBC every1 variety program The Great Guide 3.
