K-Pop boy group JUST B recently released new music, but album sales have been unexpectedly dismal. First-week sales totaled only 264 copies, a staggering drop of over 99% compared to their previous best performance. This alarming disparity has shocked fans, who are now concerned about the group's future, with some even rushing to purchase albums themselves to help boost sales.

While music chart performance and album sales do not entirely define a group's success, they often serve as crucial indicators of popularity and market performance. In the past, groups experiencing continuous declines in sales have led to speculation about the impact on their future activities and even rumors of disbandment. Therefore, a sudden and significant drop in sales for a popular group often triggers concern among fans.
JUST B recently made a comeback with their sixth mini-album, “k-pop.” Although the music video for the title track has garnered over 1.7 million views since its release and generated considerable online discussion, actual album sales have fallen short of expectations. According to data from South Korean album sales tracking site Hanteo Chart, “k-pop” sold only 264 copies in its first week, with some days even recording zero sales—a stark contrast to the MV's viewership.
Breaking down the daily sales data, the album sold 189 copies on its first day, 36 on the second, 15 on the third, and a shocking zero on the fourth. The fifth day saw only 2 copies sold, followed by 9 on the sixth, and 13 on the seventh, accumulating to just 264 copies in the first week. This sluggish performance has left many fans in disbelief.
Even more shocking is that JUST B's best-selling work to date was the album “=(NEUN),” released in November 2022. The new album's first-week sales represent a decline of over 99% compared to that record. Despite the group's continuous efforts to expand into overseas markets, including past tours and a recently announced “K-Pop Rave Tour,” the stark difference in album sales has led many to question what might be affecting the group's current market popularity.

After the data was revealed, fans took to social media to express their dismay. One fan commented, “This album is really good, why is this happening? And it's even the relatively cheaper Jewel Case version.” Others, worried about the group's future, urgently called for more support for JUST B, stating, “I'm really worried about their future, please support this group! Their music is unique, and they even have an openly gay idol member; they deserve more recognition.”
Additionally, some fans hope that there might be other reasons behind this drastic sales drop, such as logistics and delivery issues or discrepancies in album sales data collection methods, rather than it solely reflecting market demand. They lamented, “I really hope there are other reasons behind these numbers; it's truly sad to see such results.”
While JUST B's latest comeback showed some performance in MV viewership, the physical album sales revealed a shocking disparity, leading fans to worry about the group's future. However, single-week sales alone are not enough to definitively determine a group's future trajectory, and the actual situation remains to be seen.
JUST B is a fourth-generation K-Pop boy group that officially debuted on June 30, 2021. Their music style is characterized by strong rhythms, electronic music, hip-hop elements, and intense dance performances, with members participating in song composition, production, and performance content. Although not currently among the most mainstream K-Pop boy groups, they have gradually gained fans overseas in recent years and have become one of the most talked-about groups in the K-Pop scene due to member Bain (배인) openly coming out.
