South Korean entertainer and webtoon artist Kian84 (김희민, Kim Hee-min) has once again stirred online discussion with his unique approach to hospitality. After previously helping singer Kwon Eun-bi (권은비) with calluses on her heels, he was recently seen trimming the toenails of LE SSERAFIM (르세라핌) member Kazuha (카즈하) on his show, leading to divided reactions from viewers.
On May 17, Kian84's YouTube channel, "인생84" (Life84), released a video titled "Kazuha Visiting My House." Kazuha, who became acquainted with Kian84 while participating in the Netflix variety show Kian84's Strange Home Stay 2, visited his home before embarking on LE SSERAFIM's world tour.
Kian84 explained that Kazuha had helped him with many things during the filming of Kian84's Strange Home Stay 2, and he wanted to cook for her in return. He prepared home-style dishes such as Korean grilled pork belly and gochujang-marinated vegetables. Kazuha also pitched in, helping to wash rice and prepare onions.
While waiting for the food to finish cooking, Kian84 unexpectedly asked Kazuha, "Do you want me to trim your fingernails? Or your toenails?" Kazuha mentioned that her toenails seemed to have grown long recently, to which Kian84 immediately replied, "Then let's trim your toenails after dinner. I'm very good at it."

After dinner, Kian84 indeed produced a nail clipper. Kazuha showed no clear resistance, smiling as she extended her foot towards him. Kian84 carefully examined her toenails, remarking, "Won't your socks tear? Your toenails are too long." He then added, "It's a bit difficult to trim all 10, so I'll just do one or two for you."

During the process, he even mentioned his past "service experience," laughing as he said, "I've also helped people file their heels before," directly referring to Kwon Eun-bi.
Indeed, in a past episode featuring Kwon Eun-bi, Kian84 noticed significant calluses on her heels and personally helped her remove them. Now, from filing Kwon Eun-bi's heels to trimming Kazuha's toenails, Kian84's unconventional hospitality—going beyond just preparing food to "caring" for his guests' feet—has once again become a hot topic.

This time, Kian84 chose Kazuha's big toe, stating, "I won't cut into the skin, I'll just trim about half the length." He then carefully picked up the nail clippers.

As Kazuha has studied ballet for many years, Kian84 also noticed numerous calluses on her feet. He commented, "You have a lot of calluses because of ballet." He described these calluses as "scars of glory" and even jokingly compared them to "a marathon runner's feet."
Kian84 expressed surprise upon seeing that Kazuha's toenails were thicker than his own. After learning that Kazuha had also recently had a pedicure, he not only helped trim her toenails but also personally filed down the edges of her nail surface.
While working, Kian84 said, "There's not much I can do for you, so at least I should do this." Kazuha then curiously asked if he usually trimmed other people's toenails, to which Kian84 candidly replied, "This is my first time." Kazuha laughed and said, "You're very brave." After finishing the trim, Kian84 expressed satisfaction, saying, "Now your socks won't get holes."
From previously treating Kwon Eun-bi's callused heels to personally trimming Kazuha's toenails, Kian84 has once again demonstrated his unexpected "way of hosting." The related footage has sparked heated discussion online, with netizens expressing polarized views on the interaction.
After the video was released, the scenes ignited online debate. Some netizens felt that even if the two had a good relationship, personally trimming a female idol's toenails was still somewhat over the line. Comments included, "No matter how close you are, you shouldn't directly trim a female idol's toenails" and "It made me feel a bit uncomfortable," suggesting the interaction went too far.
However, others argued that this unexpected "method of hospitality" is precisely a characteristic of Kian84's shows. They pointed out that both parties consented in a relaxed atmosphere, thus there was no need to over-interpret the situation.
