Convicted Sex Offender Go Young-wook Attacks Park Ha-sun, Ryu Soo-young, and Kim Ji-hyun on Social Media
Go Young-wook (고영욱), a former member of the group Roo'Ra (룰라) who was sentenced to prison for sexual assault and indecent acts against minors and subsequently permanently banned from the entertainment industry, has recently been making public comments about entertainment figures on social media, sparking controversy by naming several artists. This time, he targeted actors Ryu Soo-young (류수영) and Park Ha-sun (박하선), a married couple, and even brought up former Roo'Ra member Kim Ji-hyun (김지현).
On July 7, Go Young-wook posted on his personal X (formerly Twitter) account, writing to Park Ha-sun: "Ha-sun, I didn't know you had this side to you before, but for someone preparing for an exam, you were always a woman I couldn't afford." He then added sarcastically, "At this rate, you'll probably keep buying luxury goods in the future, and your husband, Mr. Ryu Soo-young, will have to take on any job and work hard to earn money. It looks like pouring water into a leaky jar."

Not only that, Go Young-wook brought up Ryu Soo-young's debut film, "Summertime," and mentioned former Roo'Ra member Kim Ji-hyun, challenging them: "If you feel too burdened, film 'Summertime 2' with Kim Ji-hyun. Besides continuing to capitalize on Roo'Ra's hit songs from 30 years ago and participating in cheap events with other washed-up 90s singers, she'll probably just stay home and slowly grow old."
"Summertime" (썸머타임) is a 2001 South Korean film directed by Park Jae-ho, starring Ryu Soo-young and Kim Ji-hyun. It is an R-rated erotic film.

Go Young-wook and Park Ha-sun previously worked together, co-starring in the MBC sitcom "High Kick! The Revenge of the Short Legged," which aired in 2011. However, their collaboration was over a decade ago, and it remains unclear why Go Young-wook suddenly publicly named and attacked Park Ha-sun.
Go Young-wook debuted as a member of Roo'Ra in 1994. In 2013, he was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months in prison for sexual assault and indecent acts involving three minors. He was also ordered to have his personal information disclosed for 5 years and wear an electronic ankle monitor for 3 years, earning him the negative moniker "the first celebrity to wear an electronic ankle monitor." He served his sentence at the Southern Detention Center, Anyang Prison, and Seoul Southern Prison, and was released in 2015.
After his release from prison, Go Young-wook's social media activities have repeatedly caused controversy. In November 2020, he opened an Instagram account, stating his desire to "carefully communicate with the world," but the account was shut down after just one day due to numerous reports. At the time, Instagram's policy prohibited convicted sex offenders from using accounts and encouraged users to report them.
His YouTube channel, launched in August 2024, also received numerous reports and ceased operations approximately two weeks later.
Recently, Go Young-wook has continued to post on X, publicly commenting on entertainment figures such as Yoo Jae-suk (유재석), Lee Sang-min (이상민), Lee Ji-hye (이지혜), and Tak Jae-hoon (탁재훈), once again sparking discussion among Korean netizens.
