A South Korean man in his 50s died approximately three months after marrying a Vietnamese woman. Before his death, the man confided in a friend of 20 years, revealing he had been subjected to domestic violence by his wife, including having three front teeth broken. He reportedly endured prolonged physical and emotional suffering. His friend has now come forward to share his story, seeking justice on his behalf.

According to Korean media reports, the YouTube channel "투우부부" (Tuubuubu) on May 30 shared the story of a man identified as A, in his 50s. A married a Vietnamese woman last year but died approximately 90 days after the wedding. The informant, who had known A for about 20 years as a senior-junior colleague, stated that A had always hoped to start a family through an international marriage. However, his mother's opposition prevented him from doing so until after her passing, when he began actively seeking a partner.

To cover the costs of an international marriage, A even sold his personal taxi, which was his livelihood. His friend revealed that A was so eager to have his own family that he was willing to pay a high price.

Later, A received a photo of a young Vietnamese woman through a friend's introduction. He decided to marry her based solely on the picture. During his first trip to Vietnam, A met the woman, and they promptly held a traditional wedding there. According to the friend, there were no apparent issues between them during the ceremony.

However, unexpected situations began to emerge as the marriage progressed. The friend disclosed that A only discovered his wife had multiple tattoos on their wedding night. Although relatives and friends advised him to reconsider, A at the time dismissed them, believing it was "just a personal characteristic," and chose to accept it.

Later, it was discovered that his wife had a sexually transmitted disease. During her health check-up for visa application, she tested positive for an STD. Upon learning this, the friend advised A to end the marriage. However, having already invested significant money and time into wedding preparations, A ultimately decided to proceed with the marriage.

A's wife entered South Korea in March of last year, but their married life was not smooth. According to the friend, the wife requested separate bedrooms and often worked on her laptop until the early hours, stating she wished to continue her previous work in Vietnam. A confided in his 20-year friend almost daily about their marital problems.

Subsequently, his wife even stated she did not intend to extend her visa and planned to return to Vietnam. A desperately pleaded with her, hoping she would stay with him for at least another year. She eventually agreed, but soon after, a physical altercation erupted between them. Photos released by the friend show A with multiple bruises and wounds on his face. The friend claimed that A was asleep when his wife suddenly attacked his face, and he reacted in shock, leading to a physical confrontation between the two.

After the incident, his wife called the police and was taken to a shelter. Following her departure, A fell into extreme despair. According to the friend, he engaged in self-harm multiple times and ultimately died of cardiac arrest on the way to the hospital, approximately 90 days after their wedding.

While tidying A's residence after his death, the friend discovered a suicide note left by him. In the disclosed contents, A wrote that he had been "beaten many times by my wife, and it was very difficult to breathe." He also stated that "even though my injuries were more severe than my wife's, the police deemed it a mutual assault and only took my wife to a shelter." The note also mentioned that his wife had attacked him with her knee, causing three of his front teeth to break, and he described her as "like a gangster's wife, a terrifying woman."

I hurt so much, body and soul I was hit so much by my wife It's very hard to breathe
Actually, shortly after she entered the country, my wife hit me with her knee, breaking three of my front teeth. I was so embarrassed that I didn't tell anyone and had them pulled.
Green tea bitch, scary woman
Looking down on my young wife from the beginning, is it my fault?
The total cost of the marriage was about 50 million won.
After she entered the country, she seemed to have nothing more to extort, so she systematically beat me while I was sleeping. I thought I should fight back, so I intentionally acted in self-defense.
I really want to die, but I can't die as I please because there's still money to be received.
Gradually, I'm losing strength. It's very hard.
Please, I implore you to resolve my unjust grievances.

Furthermore, the friend claimed that the wife had attempted to inquire about A's financial status through a lawyer. However, A had already sold his personal taxi to fund the international marriage, and the house he lived in was not under his name, leaving him with almost no disposable assets.

Currently, the friend stated that he is using A's suicide note and other materials to report the matter to relevant authorities, hoping to uncover the truth. He said, "My job is to bring this matter to public attention," and expressed his desire to seek justice for the deceased A.
