Beomhan (범한), a former K-pop trainee under FM Entertainment, has faced a series of controversies in recent years, putting his public image to the test. In a recent livestream, he spoke for the first time about a low point in his life, revealing that about 18 months ago, he was forced to move out of his home and became homeless, sleeping in his car. He relied on gyms for showers, a situation that lasted for two to three months. He admitted that during this time, he was not only in deep psychological distress but also endured online criticism and malicious attacks, at one point believing he “deserved” his predicament.
Beomhan has previously spoken publicly about his mental health struggles, even during his trainee days, revealing he experienced significant psychological hardship. His recent livestream, where he revisited these past experiences, quickly gained attention after clips were shared online.
Beomhan described the immense difficulty of daily life after losing his home and temporarily living in his car. Recalling that period, he shared that two staff members who reached out and sent him money were crucial in helping him endure. Additionally, online criticism videos and negative comments further exacerbated his already unstable mental state.
Despite his difficult circumstances, Beomhan did not completely abandon music. He revealed that he completed an album during that time, and his life began to turn around after securing a collaboration with iHeartRadio. He confessed that he once felt he deserved his struggles, but he has since slowly regained his footing, found work, and is striving to get his life back on track.
However, these are not the only controversies Beomhan has faced recently. In April of this year, a woman claiming to be his ex-girlfriend posted on social media, accusing him of multiple infidelities and mental and physical abuse over more than three years during their relationship. The revelations quickly sparked heated discussions among netizens.

Following the accusations, many netizens resurfaced Beomhan’s past controversies, criticizing his behavior. Some questioned why he still had supporters, even lambasting his “poor character and lack of notable works.” Others claimed he had been accused of similar behavior towards women multiple times in the past, expressing strong dissatisfaction.
Looking back at Beomhan’s career, he debuted in 2020 as a pre-debut member of the group M.O.N.T Arena. He later promoted as a rookie alongside Jay Chang (장제이), who would go on to debut as a member of ONE PACT, holding events in various regions. However, he later terminated his contract with FM Entertainment, with rumors at the time suggesting he had been mistreated during his trainee period. His past admissions of suicidal thoughts and self-harm also caused many fans to worry about his mental and physical well-being.
In 2024, Beomhan officially debuted as a solo artist, but his career did not progress as smoothly as expected. Subsequently, further controversies and emotional outbursts led him to make aggressive, expletive-laden remarks in public, further damaging his image. Some netizens even described him as being “canceled.”
Despite ongoing controversies, Beomhan currently retains a significant fan base, with over 470,000 followers on Instagram and 2.4 million on TikTok. His recent public disclosure of his past homelessness has once again drawn attention to his current situation, bringing his career and past controversies back into the spotlight.
