Singer and entertainer Yu Jeong (유정), formerly of K-pop girl group LABOUM, has announced her marriage, officially joining the ranks of married celebrities. Her agency, DCL ENT, announced on the 8th, "Yu Jeong will hold her wedding on December 12 in Seoul with her partner, who is the same age as her." The groom-to-be is reportedly a financial professional working in the securities industry in Yeouido.

The couple has been together for approximately two years. After a long period of serious courtship, they decided to become lifelong partners based on deep trust and love. Speaking about her fiancé, Yu Jeong sweetly shared, "He cherishes me like a daughter. He's a good person who makes me feel at ease and reliable whenever I'm with him." Her words were filled with affection for her husband-to-be.

Yu Jeong also conveyed her feelings to fans and the public through her agency, stating, "Just as you supported my new beginning five years ago, I would be truly grateful if you could also offer warm wishes for my new life this time." She continued, "I will continue to live diligently as I do now and strive to meet everyone in an even better form. Please continue to show me your support in the future."
Yu Jeong also posted a handwritten letter on her personal Instagram, personally announcing her marriage to fans. She recalled writing a handwritten letter to bid farewell to fans in September 2021 when her seven-year contract ended and she left LABOUM. She expressed surprise that five years had passed in a blink of an eye, and now she was writing again to share another important life event.
"How have you all been recently? Five years have passed faster than I imagined, in the blink of an eye," Yu Jeong wrote emotionally, also sharing details of her life after leaving the group.
She mentioned that since 2022, she has been an MC for 'Comfort Train,' continuously building valuable connections with military personnel. During this time, she also served as a special radio DJ, released music, traveled to many places she couldn't visit in her twenties, and even fulfilled her small wish of living alone, gradually learning to enjoy life through new experiences.
Yu Jeong confessed that accumulating diverse life experiences over the years has gradually enriched her life and helped her become a more mature and steadfast person.
In this letter, she also officially announced a major happy event in her life: "This coming winter, I am getting married." Yu Jeong revealed that she has met the person she has decided to spend her life with and will walk hand-in-hand with this "good partner" in the future. After embarking on a new chapter in her life after leaving LABOUM, her announcement of impending marriage prompted many fans to send their blessings.
Yu Jeong previously served as the leader and main vocalist of the girl group LABOUM for many years, gaining significant fan affection for her outstanding performances. After debuting in 2014, she was active for years, and the group's song "Journey to Atlantis" unexpectedly surged in popularity in 2021. She left LABOUM that same year and has since continued to expand her entertainment career, actively participating in various shows and content in addition to her music activities.
Currently, Yu Jeong is the host of the Korea National Defense Public Relations Agency's flagship program, "Comfort Train," a role she has held for five years. Her agency stated that she will not retire from the entertainment industry after marriage but will continue to be active in hosting and various other fields.
The agency concluded by saying, "We hope everyone will give warm blessings and encouragement to Yu Jeong as she embarks on an important new beginning in her life. We will also fully support her after her marriage so that she can continue to show even better activities."
