Seo In-young (서인영), a former member of first-generation K-pop girl group Jewelry, recently made headlines after revealing actor Lee Seo-jin's (이서진) dating secrets on a television program. She recounted witnessing an actress crying over Lee Seo-jin and described how the actress shed "tears of blood" after their breakup, sparking significant buzz.
The latest episode of SBS's "What Can I Do For You – Secretary Jin," which aired on September 11, featured Seo In-young as a guest, engaging in a candid discussion about relationships with Lee Seo-jin. During the show, Seo In-young told Lee Seo-jin, "It seems like women really like you." She then revealed a rumor circulating among actresses: "If you break up with oppa, it's not just tears; you'll cry tears of blood." She even heard warnings like, "You absolutely must be careful not to get dumped by oppa."
Seo In-young admitted that she was initially skeptical. "Honestly, when I first heard it, I thought, 'Is Lee Seo-jin really that amazing?'" However, she later encountered someone who confirmed the rumors. "I once had a drink alone with one of those actresses, and she was crying because of Lee Seo-jin," Seo In-young revealed. She recalled asking the actress, "Unnie, what's wrong?" only to be told it was because of Lee Seo-jin. Seo In-young then joked, "It seems he's really good to women."
Responding to the revelations, Lee Seo-jin openly confessed, "That's the problem. For the first three months, I'm very good to her." However, after that period, he starts wanting to reclaim his own life. Lee Seo-jin explained, "After three months (of dating), I slowly start wanting my own time. Meeting every day also begins to feel like a burden, and I gradually return to my original self. My own life is ultimately more important."
Seo In-young couldn't help but press further, "Why does the affection fade?" Lee Seo-jin countered, "Can love really last that long?" Hearing this, Seo In-young playfully responded, "I've been married once myself, so I'm not in a position to say such things now," drawing laughter from the set.
Lee Seo-jin then expressed his frustration, saying, "I also want to make relationships last longer, but I just can't. It's not my fault; it's love's fault." Seo In-young bluntly concluded, "You really are a bad guy."
Additionally, Lee Seo-jin shared his views on marriage during the program. He believes, "I think you need to date for at least two years before getting married. Since I've never dated for more than two years, that's why I'm still single now."
To Seo In-young, who is about to remarry, Lee Seo-jin offered advice: "Wouldn't a woman be very happy if she met a man who truly loved her? So, I hope you can try to have a long-lasting relationship." His words made their differing views on love a highlight of the episode.
