LE SSERAFIM's Kim Chae-won's agency firmly deny drug-related rumors

Recently, there has been much buzz in the Korean fan community due to well-known artists like Lee Sun-kyun and G-Dragon being investigated for suspected drug usage, surprisingly, Kim Chae-won from LE SSERAFIM has been unexpectedly drawn into this issue too.

Today, SOURCE MUSIC, the managing agency of LE SSERAFIM, sternly responded to the malicious rumors online about Kim Chae-won's drug use: "The rumors about Kim Chae-won are not true at all!"

The agency stated, "Chae-won decided to suspend activities and rest her body due to poor recovery from Type A flu. Please refrain from making malicious speculations!" It was then announced, "Kim Chaewon will rejoin the team and resume activities on November 1st."

Recently, many famous artists have been put on an investigation list due to suspected drug-related incidents. Among them, it has been reported that a girl group member is currently under investigation. However, under the condition that the details of the investigation are not disclosed, an internet user has anonymously revealed that the person under investigation is Kim Chae-won of LE SSERAFIM.

On this matter, the artist and the agency both strongly denied it, stating: "This is just absurd! The drug controversy itself is a big blow to the image, and being named in such circumstances is a smear against the group and individual reputation. Considering the seriousness of this event, we will take stern measures."

Upon learning about malicious rumors, the agency immediately announced its position and directly unveiled the date of Kim Chae-won’s return to activities. The agency stated, "We did not plan to announce the comeback date today, but in fear of the rumor's extensive impact, we decided to announce Chae-won’s return schedule in advance."
