1日，Lovelyz出身的李美珠所屬經紀公司Antenna在官方SNS上陸續發布了美珠的出道單曲專輯《MOVIE STAR》的動畫和計劃表，宣佈美珠正式以個人身份—MIJOO出道。
在動畫中，首次公開了MIJOO的官方logo和專輯名，並通過聚光燈和照相機的快門效果呈現出《MOVIE STAR》的圖像。MIJOO將通過首張單曲專輯，成為每個人都曾夢想過的璀璨“電影之星”。在個人出道前，MIJOO將先後推出概念照片、曲目列表、MV預告片、預先試聽等豐富的預告內容。
值得留意的是，從本月2日起，在最近才開通的官方YouTube頻道上將會上傳3部影片，並將展示MIJOO從出道至今的歷程，並與《MOVIE STAR》的故事保持關聯。
自2014年作為女團Lovelyz出道以來，MIJOO積極參與了不同的音樂和綜藝活動。經過9年，終於成功以個人身份出道。這次的首張單曲專輯將展現MIJOO獨特的個人特色，MIJOO的個人出道專輯《MOVIE STAR》將於5月17日發行，敬請期待！
