Moon Geun-young Marries Actor Jung Pyung, Shares Heartfelt Letter

South Korean actress Moon Geun-young (문근영), affectionately known as the 'Nation's Little Sister,' surprised fans today (July 29) with the sudden announcement of her marriage to actor Jung Pyung (정평), who is seven years her senior. She shared a handwritten letter on Instagram, expressing her feelings about embarking on a new chapter in life. Moon confessed to meeting someone she wants to spend her life with and asked for blessings and encouragement from the public, rather than worry or doubt.

In her letter, Moon wrote, "I have decided to get married." She revealed that she met someone with whom she wants to "walk the path she once walked alone, share the worries she once bore alone, and make each other smile over the small things in life," conveying deep affection for her partner.

She then sweetly added, "In the future, I hope to fill the rest of my life not alone, but hand-in-hand with two of us." Her words conveyed anticipation and happiness for her married life.

Addressing her long-time fans, Moon sincerely appealed for blessings instead of worries. "I earnestly ask for your congratulations and encouragement, not anxiety and concern. I will repay your continuous support by living even harder than I do now." She also expressed hope that her brief handwritten letter would convey her true feelings and promised to meet everyone again with an even better version of herself in the future.

According to Korean media reports, Moon and Jung met while collaborating on a stage play. They initially formed a friendship as colleagues, which gradually developed into a romantic relationship. They recently held a private wedding ceremony, officially becoming husband and wife.
