20日Mnet《M Countdown 》進行了與往日不同、氣氛凝重的直播。主持人Monsta X周憲與(G)I-DLE薇娟分別身穿黑色西裝以及黑色連身裙，並用冷靜的語氣開場，兩人身上都未配戴任何飾品。
而在稍早，《M Countdown 》方面表示將按照原定計畫進行直播，但將懷抱著深沉哀悼之意，以沉穩的氛圍進行節目。
周憲在開場時提到「今天是連上午下的那場春雨，都沒能讓人感到開心的一天」並接著說「一直以來跟我們一起在舞台上又哭又笑的同事，在今天突然離開我們，成為了天上的星星」
薇娟接著繼續表示：「對於這麼讓人心痛的消息，我們對此表達深深的哀悼」周憲接話道：「我真心祈禱他能去到一個更好的地方，好好的休息」
而在節目的最後，薇娟再度提到此事：「今天應該真的有很多人非常悲傷，也度過了非常辛苦的時間，我們也因為這個突如其來的消息而感到相當心痛，在此向遺屬及粉絲們再度表達我們的慰問」
周憲更是紅著眼眶，表達了自己的不捨：「一直以來為我們帶來帥氣舞台的文彬，我將在這裡為你祈禱，希望你能獲得安寧」
在19日晚間8點10分左右，文彬被發現陳屍在江南自宅中，享年25歲。葬禮將按照家屬的意思，僅邀請家人、朋友以及公司同事出席，盡可能的低調進行，文彬的告別式場設在首爾峨山醫院附設殯儀館，將在22日早上8點出殯。
