ENHYPEN Ni-ki Fan Site Administrator Dies by Suicide; Family Reveals Pre-Death Struggles on Her 26th Birthday
News recently emerged of the passing of a fan of popular K-pop boy group ENHYPEN. "Mina," a well-known fan site administrator for member Ni-ki (Nishimura Riki, 니키), died by suicide during a TikTok livestream. The news shocked and saddened fans. Her family has since posted on her Instagram account, revealing they brought her back to Japan on what would have been her 26th birthday, and issuing a poignant message to online bullies.
Mina was reportedly a prominent fan site administrator for ENHYPEN, frequently sharing videos related to Ni-ki. Many of her posts garnered widespread attention online. Her X (formerly Twitter) account has since been deleted following the incident.

According to foreign media reports, Mina was conducting a TikTok livestream from her residence in Hangangno-dong, Seoul, when police were notified and arrived at the scene, subsequently interrupting the broadcast. As news of the incident spread, many fans expressed their shock and sorrow in comments.
On August 11, Mina's Instagram account posted an unexpected story update, featuring a photo of flowers and a lengthy message. The content confirmed it was published by Mina's family, who revealed they had brought their daughter back to Japan on August 9, which also happened to be her 26th birthday.
The family wrote, "We are Mina's family, and we are deeply sorry for causing everyone worry and sadness." They stated that the family had planned to celebrate Mina's birthday together, but were now unable to fulfill that promise, causing them immense heartache.

The family also mentioned that Mina had been deeply hurt by criticism and aggressive comments on social media, to the point where she felt she had lost the right to live, ultimately leading to her tragic death. The family stated with profound grief, "Can you imagine someone you deeply love suddenly disappearing before your eyes?"
They also appealed to online commenters, urging everyone to take a moment to consider the potential impact their words, photos, and videos might have on another person before posting.
Finally, Mina's family extended their gratitude to her friends and fans who supported her throughout, especially those who offered help and companionship during the family's most difficult time.
The family concluded the post with a message written from Mina's perspective: "To my Korean oppas and unnies, thank you for loving me, even if only for a short time. I truly had a wonderful time with everyone, my friends. Let's meet again next time." The post ended with, "May she rest in peace."
