Rain's LA KCON performance boycotted by overseas fans! Netizens Mock: This is karma!
Rain, who was recently criticized by Korean fans due to the departure of four members from his boy band Ciipher, also faced embarrassment at KCON in LA. Some netizens posted videos from the venue on Twitter on the afternoon of the 20th.

From the 18th to the 20th (local time), the "KCON LA2023" was held in Los Angeles, USA, and singer Rain also participated in this concert. However, not only did the local fans have no reaction, they even turned off the support sticks, deliberately not reacting at all.
On that day, Rain performed his popular song "Rainism" on stage, but the audience gave no reaction at all. They watched the entire performance in silence. What's more exaggerated is that the spectator seats, which should have been illuminated by support light sticks, were completely dark, creating a noticeable difference from the stages of other singers.

According to netizens, the reason for the reaction to Rain's performance that day was related to Ciipher. Ciipher was originally a 7-member group, but this time more than half of the members have left the group. One of the remaining members, KEITA, will be participating in the activities of EVNNE, a spin-off group from "BOYS PLANET", and will not be able to participate in Ciipher's activities for a short period of time. It's almost like the group has disbanded.

In response to this, overseas fans couldn't help but criticize Rain, saying, "He disbanded only 2 years and 5 months after his debut, as a producer, Rain is really too irresponsible," and "Ciipher is on the verge of disbanding, but Rain is still performing." As a result, they boycotted Rain's performance at KCON.
The news reached Korea, and netizens also expressed no surprise. "I think this is retribution. Since they decided to make a group, they should be responsible till the end," "Even if you're not a fan of that group, if you're a KPOP fan, there's a high chance you would dislike him," "It's possible that they could also do this," "Their reasons are acceptable," "He is only left with his mouth," "The fans who go there are not just any fans, they are the ones who paid expensive ticket prices to go in, they indeed might understand more."

Some netizens were surprised that "even overseas fans are aware of this", "how do overseas fans know this, it's amazing!". There were also comments mocking CJ Entertainment, which organizes KCON, "CJ also doesn't understand the situation. How could they invite him while they have been causing a great fuss with their produced group recently?" and "They should consider whether the person is suitable or not. The event completely fell flat, didn't it?"

K-PopEXO's Chen, who's already a father of two, is having his belated wedding in October! Korean netizens are suspecting him of wanting to receive wedding gifts again!
Popular boy band EXO's first married member, CHEN, who had a contract dispute with SM since June, released news yesterday (16th) that he, now a father of two, would be having a belated wedding ceremony in October through SM. However, after the news was made public, netizens were overwhelmingly critical. On the 16th, Chen's agency SM Entertainment announced that Chen's previously postponed wedding will take place in October. They also stated that the wedding will be carried out quietly, witnessed only by family, relatives, EXO members, and close friends. Previously, Chen shocked everyone by publicly announcing in January 2020 that he was marrying his non-celebrity girlfriend, who was also pregnant before their marriage. They then officially registered their marriage and legally became a couple, and his wife gave birth to two daughters within two years. At the time, some fans responded to the unexpected news about Chen by stating that his actions would bring a negative image to the group. They issued statements and strong protests urging him to leave the group. After the news of the re-hosting wedding was exposed, various online communities have posts about Chen's wedding. Notably, the famous discussion board "the qoo" stirs up heated debates. However, netizens are not sending blessings but are ridiculing Chen. "Wow! How shameless they are to act like this! They should leave the group immediately", "I'm not their fan but I think they've gone too far", "I heard that this is their third wedding... The first one was held at a church, and the second one was combined with the first anniversary of their eldest daughter at the Shilla Hotel," "Hasn't it been dealt with already? You're dealing with it again?" "Please, just keep quiet", "Don't do whatever you want...Consider the fans", "I really don't want to know, why do you need to announce it", "Can't you please leave EXO?", "It looks like you wanted to receive more gifts", "Being a fan of his is pathetic", etc., different voices.
K-PopAll groups under Rain have disbanded! Netizens criticize: He's an incapable producer!
The renowned singer and actor Rain, not only made a name for himself in the music and drama industries, but also became a producer many years ago, producing many famous idol groups. However, in the end, they all unfortunately fizzled out. Recently, Korean media have reported on idol groups produced by Rain, noting that the groups MBLAQ and Ciipher, both promoted by him, ultimately ended in failure. The group MBLAQ was originally trained for about two years by Rain and launched as a five-man group. The full name is "Music Boys Live in Absolute Quality", and the original members are Seungho, Thunder, Joon, Mir and G.O. In fact, when MBLAQ first debuted, they had many classic songs that were popular with the public. However, after several changes in the lineup, their popularity declined significantly. After the release of their 8th mini-album "MIRROR" in June 2015, the group did not conduct any group activities. Although they did not officially announce a disbandment, it appeared as though the group had effectively disbanded. Next is Ciipher, a new group trained by Rain's own company RAINCOMPANY. However, the original seven-member group Ciipher did not see any improvement after two years of debut. The official even announced a few days ago that members Choi Sa-gwon, Lan Tai-kwon, Gil Do-hwan and Park Seong-won have left the group, and now only Hyeon-bin, Hwi, and KEITA are left. In fact, when Rain initially supported Ciipher, he not only invited his wife Kim Tae-hee to participate in the filming of the group's debut music video, but even brought the newbies onto several variety shows. It could be said that he was quite dedicated. However, he was also criticized by many netizens, who felt that instead of promoting the newcomers, it seemed more like he was engaging in his own activities, thus attracting more attention to himself, which caused some backlash. In addition, KEITA, a member of Ciipher, participated in the audition program BoysPlanet. Although he was not able to debut successfully, he has decided to join EVNNE, a seven-man derivative group managed by JellyFish, and is expected to debut in the second half of the year. EVNNE has also set up an official social community and is currently in a residential training mode, preparing for their debut. Regarding the situation where Rain's newcomers eventually came to nothing, many netizens commented, "MBLAQ was actually successful, but it's such a shame", "No planning ability, and no sense of responsibility", "Frankly speaking, Rain really doesn't have much production ability", "The works produced by him are not good either", "So far, he doesn't seem to want to deal with the members, it's really bad to just let them go", "Please, Rain, just do well on your own, don't try to be a producer anymore".
K-PopOn the eve of TEEN TOP's comeback, C.A.P left the group! Exposing suspicions of the management company brainwashing idols and sexual harassment allegations!
Recently, the boy group TEEN TOP made a comeback. However, member C.A.P, who announced his departure from the group on May 9th, caused a stir by revealing behind-the-scenes secrets about the company on his own YouTube channel, sparking heated discussion among netizens. In the short video, C.A.P said, "I want to talk about what I've felt during my 14 years as an idol," frankly admitting that he believes the reason for the gradual deterioration of idol culture is due to companies' brainwashing. "The agency constantly brainwashes friends who are preparing to become idols, stating that they can't have relationships, smoke, or drink. If they partake in these behaviors, the company might go bankrupt despite the investment. This kind of brainwashing is ongoing. When they are trainees, it is physically laborious. After debut, it becomes emotionally laborious. They get criticized by people they never expected, including fans who always seem to have a malicious comment, who are also giving advice at the same time, who often think of themselves as teachers. In reality, they are the ones who are emotionally disturbed." C.A.P also stated that with the development of the internet and SNS, celebrities have become very stressed. Although malicious comments are abundant, idols can't say anything. Because they can't handle things fairly, they are always uncomfortable, mentally unwell, and physically poor. C.A.P said, "Idols have become a profession that sells illusions from a certain moment. Idols started because they wanted to sing and dance, and companies started packaging for making money." "Male idols also experience sexual harassment, such as being touched on the buttocks, their own chests... It starts getting mentally distressing from here, really strange kids, making me do all sorts of things," revealing the grievances suffered during his time as an idol. C.A.P debuted in 2010 as a member of TEEN TOP and left the group last month before their comeback in May due to dissatisfaction with idol life. He also terminated his exclusive contract with his agency. Netizens have different reactions to this: "Drinking, smoking, and dating should be handled carefully during group activities as they may affect the whole team", "It's about the people at the TEEN TOP fan signing event, if there was any sexual harassment, of course, they are wrong", "Recently, fans think they are the masters, as long as they give money, the idols can do anything."
