Recently, there has been a resurgence of second-generation idol groups reuniting, stirring up nostalgic feelings among K-pop fans. DARA, a former member of 2NE1, made her solo debut today, capturing the attention of netizens. However, during a previous online show, DARA not only revealed her authentic self but also expressed her emotions during the final activities of 2NE1, leaving many netizens feeling saddened.

DARA opened up about the final active period of 2NE1 and expressed, "It's truly heart-wrenching because disbanding doesn't mean we are no longer 2NE1; the members have always carried this sentiment."

Although 2NE1 officially disbanded in 2016, the group made a surprising reunion on the stage of the American music festival, Coachella, last year. DARA expressed, "It was our first time performing together in 7 or 8 years. We didn't expect such an overwhelming response from the audience, but we were taken aback when everyone cheered and sang along." She was not only deeply moved by the experience but also felt an exhilarating sensation as if she were the protagonist in a movie.

During 2NE1's active years, an impressive 23 out of their 38 released songs managed to secure a place on the year-end charts. There is a strong possibility that they could have become one of the legendary girl groups of their generation if they hadn't disbanded.

ENHYPEN's NI-KI Performs Amid Fan's Death; Mother Travels to Korea

ENHYPEN member NI-KI (Nishimura Riki) has drawn attention following the death of a Japanese fan, Mina, who reportedly faced cyberbullying after comments made by the idol were misinterpreted. Mina's mother has since traveled to Korea to handle her daughter's affairs.

However, when asked about the likelihood of a 2NE1 reunion, DARA honestly expressed, "I really don't know because we are all in different companies now, and it's quite challenging." She even made a playful remark, saying, "Are we all supposed to leave our respective companies and become unemployed?"

During the recording of the singles "Missing You," DARA candidly discussed her emotions. She revealed that while working on the song, she couldn't help but reflect on the possibility that it might be their last release. The lukewarm response received by previous singles like "Falling In Love" and "Do You Love Me" had created uncertainty about the group's future, adding to her contemplation during the recording process.

DARA revealed that even the company had doubts about the group's future during that time. Previously, they had consistently achieved first place, but this time they only ranked tenth. The disappointing result left them disheartened, and even the company started considering the possibility of disbandment.

Upon hearing these sentiments from the company, they proceeded to record "Missing You". As the song's lyrics were about parting, after the recording session, both DARA and Park Bom spent several hours crying in the recording studio.

However, unbeknownst to many, "Missing You" unexpectedly soared to the top of the charts. The sudden success took everyone by surprise, including the group members who had believed it would be their final song. Filled with a sense of joy, they embraced their activities wholeheartedly, unaware that it would ultimately become their last album.

DARA shared a personal revelation, saying, "After I stopped my activities as a singer, I would cry whenever I watched year-end award ceremonies or music shows, so I eventually stopped watching them altogether." This confession shed light on her challenging emotional state during that time.

The disclosure quickly ignited a wave of discussions among netizens, with many expressing criticism towards YG Entertainment, stating, "YG is really unfair," "How could they tell their own artists it's over," and questioning the company's mentality for considering disbandment based on a tenth-place ranking. Additionally, there were expressions of hope for a potential 2NE1 reunion among the fans.
