Leeteuk and Heechul, members of SM Entertainment's long-running boy group Super Junior, recently promoted as the sub-unit 83z. However, on a show, they made a rare confession, admitting that they "almost never" meet privately one-on-one, and even described their past relationship as being like "oil and water." This revelation has once again brought the relationship between these two same-aged members, who debuted together many years ago, into the spotlight.

Barely See Each Other Privately, Heechul Admits Vastly Different Interests
TEO's YouTube channel released a new video on July 21st, inviting Super Junior sub-unit 83z members Leeteuk and Heechul as guests for a relaxed chat with host Jang Do-yeon. During the show, Jang Do-yeon asked the two, "Do you meet privately outside of work?" Heechul directly replied, "Almost never."
Heechul went on to explain that their preferences are very different. "Teuk-hyung likes golf but can't drink alcohol at all; I like to drink alcohol but don't play golf." This single statement highlighted the disparity in their private lifestyles.

Even Members Found It Surprising, Heechul: 'We're Like Oil and Water'
When discussing other members' reactions to the 83z sub-unit activities, Leeteuk revealed that Donghae was the first to bring it up. He stated that Super Junior has been active for so long that no one ever imagined he and Heechul would form a sub-unit, so it felt very fresh to everyone.
Heechul also described their relationship: "We're like oil and water. Fans know we don't really get along, but they're very curious about this collaboration."

Once Shared a Master Bedroom, Used to Fight a Lot When Young Due to Differences
Surprisingly, Leeteuk and Heechul were actually roommates when they lived in the dorms. Leeteuk recalled that they shared the master bedroom at the time. "I was on the left, Heechul was on the right. I liked white, he liked red." This again highlighted their completely opposite preferences.
After hearing this, Jang Do-yeon commented that if they were completely opposite types, perhaps they wouldn't fight much; unexpectedly, Leeteuk and Heechul both replied simultaneously, "We fought a lot." Leeteuk admitted that in the past, because their differences were so great, and they were young and hot-headed, they used to think, "Why don't you get along with me? Why are you so different?" But now that they are both over 40, they have learned to accept each other's differences.

Leeteuk and Heechul debuted as Super Junior members in 2005, both born in 1983. Recently, they released their first mini-album, 'Promise,' as the Super Junior sub-unit 83z. The album was released on the 13th and they are currently actively promoting it.
