On April 17, Netflix Korea's YouTube channel released a new video featuring Son Ye-jin alongside Ji Chang-wook (지창욱) and Nana (나나) to promote the Netflix series “Scandal.” The trio discussed behind-the-scenes stories from filming, their private lives, and recent updates in a relaxed atmosphere.
When asked about her recent activities, Son Ye-jin revealed, "I'm raising a child and taking a break from acting for now." She admitted that her life currently revolves almost entirely around family and parenting. Host Ryu Byung-jae (류병재) then asked her to compare acting and parenting, asking, "Which one is harder?" Without hesitation, Son Ye-jin immediately replied, "Raising a child." Her straightforward answer drew laughter from everyone present.
Discussing the endless daily chores, Son Ye-jin couldn't help but share her honest feelings. She mentioned that one of her hobbies is doing housework, jokingly saying, "If you can't avoid it, enjoy it." However, the next second, she expressed her frustration, stating, "No matter how much I do, it's never-ending." Her incredibly realistic portrayal of parenting resonated with many viewers.
Currently slowing down her work pace to care for her child, Son Ye-jin also shared that her happiest moments recently involve "family trips." She recounted taking her family to Okinawa and the United States, explaining, "After finishing a project, I wanted to rest, so I specifically made time for travel." However, once she traveled abroad with her child, she realized it was far from relaxing.
Son Ye-jin laughed, saying, "If you go with a child, it's not a relaxing trip. The entire itinerary revolves around the child, and it's very packed." Despite the exhaustion during the trip, she smiled and said, "Although it's tiring, traveling with family is truly wonderful."

Son Ye-jin surprisingly revealed the truth, laughing as she explained, "I thought, 'Why not just post it directly?' But he told me, 'Please cover my face,' so I did." It turns out Son Ye-jin wasn't intentionally trying to "hide" her husband; it was Hyun Bin himself who made the request, which brought more laughter to the set.
