旁觀不可能比身歷其境更有趣？實境版《魷魚遊戲》逾萬人申請！

先前NETFLIX原創劇集《魷魚遊戲》在全球造成熱潮，一時之間各種周邊傾巢而出，就算沒看過也一定聽過。
22日NETFLIX則將推出《魷魚遊戲》的生存遊戲版《魷魚遊戲：真人挑戰賽》，將有465位參賽者為了獲得456萬美金一起進行挑戰，22日將公開前5集，29日時則公開剩下5集。
共同製作該競賽節目的The Garden CEO John Hay表示「實境節目最重要的目標之一就是用盡方法，展現出人們的道德感以及人性，而這個部分，原創劇集已經都具備了，雖然某方面來說幫我們減少了不少作業內容，但某方面來看，卻也讓實境節目的標準提高了」。
接著他也提到「有一句話說『一個人玩遊戲的方式，就能看出他是怎樣的人』，而這個系列的精髓就是那個，測試人性的遊戲，展現出信任以及背叛的故事線」。
而在選拔這456位參賽者最重要的就是參賽者的故事性，就像是劇中的成奇勳、曹尚佑、吳一男以及黃俊昊等人，每個人都有自己的故事，而每一個人又分別能代表一個人類的群像，所以在收到8萬多封申請書後，選出了1000位進行二次篩選，最後選出最終456人。
製作人之一的Ireland也表示「我們想讓大家看到代表各個國家的人們，擁有各式各樣背景的人們，所以找了觀眾在觀看時能夠產生共鳴的人物，讓大家感覺就像自己在參與這個遊戲，雖然我們控制了誰能參加，但參加後的表現就是神的領域了」。
另一名製作人Harcourt更說「這個遊戲的核心就是由好感型角色與100%不是好感型的角色處在一起，從道德上來看會有些複雜的那面非常棒，不過更重要的是，能去深入探究人們的故事還有他們所擁有的複雜面貌」。
