Super Junior's Kyuhyun injured in knife attack!
South Korean superstar group Super Junior member Kyuhyun was suddenly reported to have been 'attacked' and injured. According to the Korean media "TV Chosun," a woman in her 30s, identified only as 'A,' allegedly burst into the musical dressing room around 6 p.m. on the 19th and brandished a weapon at the actors.
Kyuhyun was accidentally injured while trying to prevent person A from harming others, and the police promptly arrested the suspect. Upon investigation, the police confirmed that person A was not acquainted with the actors.
It has been reported that after watching a performance, Mr. A suddenly burst into the backstage dressing room and carried out an attack. The motive behind the crime is still under investigation. Currently, authorities are verifying Mr. A's psychiatric history and the means by which the weapon was obtained.
Antenna, the management company to which Kyuhyun belongs, also confirmed related news stating: "At the time, Kyuhyun was injured by a weapon wielded by a certain Mr. A while trying to intervene. Fortunately, Kyuhyun's injuries were not serious, and he received first aid treatment at the scene."
Kyuhyun debuted in 2006 with the Super Junior single album "U," and later released several solo singles, which were well-received by fans. Now, in addition to appearing on various variety shows, he is also active as a musical actor.
Kyuhyun recently left SM Entertainment and transferred to the management agency Antenna. During an appearance on a program, he explained the reason for switching agencies: "I want to take on new challenges in music."
