ALLDAY PROJECT, the five-member co-ed group launched by former YG Entertainment hit producer Teddy, has been a "topic generator" since its debut. Member Tarzzan (타잔) recently appeared on a variety show, uncharacteristically opening up about his romantic history and revealing he was dumped by an older girlfriend in high school. Recalling the experience, he couldn't help but lament, "It really hurt back then."
On Dec. 3, Tarzzan appeared on MBC's popular variety show The Manager (전지적 참견 시점), returning to his alma mater in Busan. Walking through the campus after many years brought back a flood of student memories, including past romantic experiences.
Looking at the familiar school environment, Tarzzan remarked, "When I was dating in high school, I would walk around everywhere... Now, memories are starting to surface one by one." The hosts then curiously asked if he was popular during his student days. Unexpectedly, Tarzzan openly discussed his dating history, admitting, "I've dated a few people, and I've had experiences with breaking up and being dumped."

One particular high school romance left a lasting impression on him. Tarzzan revealed that when he was a freshman, he dated an older student. However, after she graduated and became an adult, their relationship gradually changed. He recalled, "For example, I was a freshman in high school, and I dated a senior. Later, she graduated and became an adult. A guy like me was no longer in her sights."
At that young age, Tarzzan seemed to struggle with the sudden shift in their relationship. He confessed that he was restless and in emotional turmoil all day, and eventually, she broke up with him. "I couldn't sit still; I was very anxious, and in the end, she broke up with me. It really hurt back then..." Tarzzan's voice still carried a hint of sadness as he recalled his first love.
However, this experience of being dumped has now become a source of inspiration for his music. Tarzzan stated that his past experiences with love and heartbreak have all helped him in songwriting. "Experiences like these later came in handy when I wrote breakup songs. I think it's a good thing that I've had many different experiences."
From his first love in high school, being dumped by an older student, to now becoming an idol and dedicating himself to music creation, Tarzzan has transformed his past painful memories into creative inspiration, unexpectedly revealing a previously unseen side of himself to fans.
