BIGBANG's former member T.O.P (Choi Seung-hyun, 38) and After School's Nana (Im Jin-ah, 35) have confirmed they are dating. The news broke after Korean media outlet Dispatch reported on their relationship, with both of their agencies quickly acknowledging the romance. They revealed that the pair transitioned from colleagues to lovers around June of this year. Following the announcement, T.O.P's past comments on relationships and ideal types have resurfaced, drawing renewed attention.
In the past, T.O.P appeared on MBC variety show “Golden Fishery – Radio Star” (황금어장－라디오스타) where he openly discussed his dating history. He revealed at the time, "From age 19 until now, I've dated three people in total. As for those I've had something ambiguous with, no one knows. I am currently single."
When asked about his ideal type, T.O.P admitted that despite enjoying alcohol himself, he prefers women who do not drink. He even joked, "They probably can't tolerate me."
T.O.P further disclosed that he once dated a woman who drank for three to four years, but they barely made any memories together. "Because I drank so much that I blacked out, I don't remember anything," he explained.
Consequently, T.O.P later decided to seek out women who do not drink. However, he also revealed a habit he has when drinking: he turns off his phone. "I'm someone who normally turns off my phone when I drink," he stated.

An official from T.O.P's agency, TOPSPOT PICTURES, confirmed to Korean media outlet NewsEn (뉴스엔) on the 2nd that T.O.P and Nana "first met and formed a connection while filming a music video, gradually grew closer, and developed into a romantic relationship around June of this year."
Nana's agency, Sublime, also told media on the same day that the two "met through filming a music video and are currently maintaining a beautiful relationship," officially confirming the romance. Subsequently, Nana personally shared her feelings via a fan communication platform, admitting, "You must be very surprised, and I'm a little shy myself," and sweetly wrote, "We will date well and healthily."
T.O.P was born in 1987, and Nana was born in 1991, making them four years apart in age.
