MONSTA X's Hyungwon Crowned 'Waterbomb God' After Soaked White T-Shirt Performance Goes Viral
The annual WATERBOMB music festival, South Korea's most iconic summer event, consistently produces memorable moments and has launched numerous 'Waterbomb Goddesses' and 'Waterbomb Gods.' Artists like HyunA, Sunmi, Chungha, Kwon Eun-bi (권은비), Baekho (백호), and Lee Min-hyuk (이민혁) have all sparked heated discussions with their electrifying stages.
This year's '2026 WATERBOMB Seoul Music Festival' took place last weekend, with many K-pop stars gracing the stage in refreshing outfits to showcase their physiques. However, Hyungwon (형원), a member of MONSTA X, took an unconventional approach, appearing in a white t-shirt paired with long pants. Despite being one of the most covered-up male idols at the event, he unexpectedly became a hot topic among netizens.
Since their debut, MONSTA X has been known for their masculine and mature image. Following their military service, the members' physiques have noticeably improved, with more defined muscle lines. Hyungwon, often hailed as the group's 'visual,' has not only become more toned since his return but has also once again impressed fans with his tall and slender proportions.
This time, Hyungwon performed on the WATERBOMB stage with leader Shownu (셔누) as the sub-unit 'Shownu X Hyungwon.' While Shownu wore a buckle vest that revealed much of his skin, Hyungwon maintained his simple white t-shirt and long pants look, creating a stark contrast with the event's typically daring attire.
However, as water cannons continuously sprayed the stage, Hyungwon's white t-shirt became instantly soaked, clinging to his body and outlining his firm yet lean physique. His subtly revealed good looks proved even more captivating than more exposed outfits, causing a frenzy among fans and netizens alike.
