Actor Won Hyun-jun to Marry Actress Lee Soo-jin on Oct. 4

Actor Won Hyun-jun (원현준), who garnered attention for his distinctive portrayal of Kang Guk-cheol, director of the Special Task Force in the popular drama “The Golden Agent: Back to the Field,” has announced his upcoming marriage. He and fellow actress Lee Soo-jin (이수진) are set to tie the knot this October. The couple personally shared their wedding news on social media, embracing a sweet new chapter in their lives.

Won and Lee separately announced via their personal social media accounts on the 14th that their wedding will take place on October 4. Both chose the same day to share their happy news, expressing their mutual joy and anticipation of becoming husband and wife.

Won wrote, “I wanted to be the first to share this news with everyone who has always cherished and supported me, so I’m writing this. Although I want to share this good news, I still feel a little shy.”

He continued, “I have promised to spend my life with my most precious lover.” He added that the couple will embark on their life journey together starting October 4, “laughing together in happy times and relying on each other in difficult times.”

He concluded, “Just as we welcome a new season, we are also embracing a brand new beginning. I hope everyone can look upon us with warm eyes and send us their blessings.”

Lee also announced her marriage on social media the same day, stating, “Although I feel a little shy, I wanted to share some happy news with everyone, so I’m writing this.” She declared, “On October 4, I will begin a new chapter in life with the person I deeply love.”

She also revealed, “I met the most precious person in my life, and now I am about to become a wife and start a new season with him.” Regarding her upcoming married life, Lee admitted to feeling “both excited and a little nervous,” but the thought that “someone will be by my side in every moment” made her feel deeply grateful and at ease.

Lee concluded by appealing to the public, “We would be grateful if everyone could bless our new beginning with warm hearts. We will live happily.”

Won has been active in film and television for many years, building an extensive acting resume with appearances in numerous works including “Joseon Gunman,” “Itaewon Class,” “Dr. Brain,” “Secretly, Greatly,” “Assassination,” “My Little Baby, Jaya,” “The Divine Move 2: The Wrathful,” “The Policeman's Lineage,” “The Devil's Deal,” and “Ghost Market.”

Most recently, he garnered significant attention for his strong presence as Kang Guk-cheol, the director of the Special Task Force, in the SBS drama “The Golden Agent: Back to the Field.” After the drama concluded, Won described “The Golden Agent” as a “turning point” in his acting career during an interview.

Last year, he appeared in the Disney+ series “The Jeju Island Grannies: The Country Bumpkins” and the film “Ghost Market.” In “Ghost Market,” he played the crucial role of the “Clapping Shaman,” a character central to the film's worldview, continuously challenging himself with diverse roles and showcasing his versatile acting.
