It is reported that Yoo Ah-in fury unleashed after a group of people who were filming for YouTube witnessed him using drugs. Subsequently, he enticed the YouTuber to try it, saying, "You should try it too," and even demonstrated how to use it. His intention was to drag the other party into it, so as not to expose his drug use.
According to reports, Yoo Ah-in is currently being charged with suspicion of receiving marijuana and inciting drug use. The incident started when a certain "A" filmed a scene of Yoo Ah-in smoking marijuana while filming a YouTube Vlog, causing Yoo Ah-in hurriedly to stop and angrily asked, "Why do I have to restrict my free time because of a YouTuber", which made the person "A" feel awkward.
According to the prosecution, Yoo Ah-in was worried that if YouTuber A leaked this information, not only might he be under investigation, but his public image and reputation would be negatively affected. Therefore, Yoo Ah-in decided to persuade A to take drugs with him, making them 'accomplices' to prevent his drug use from being leaked.
When Yoo Ah-in suggested smoking marijuana, person A showed resistance. Yoo Ah-in proceeded to ask their colleague, person B, to roll the marijuana for person A and requested person A to smoke it. However, after person A pretended to smoke it at the corner of their mouth, Yoo Ah-in said, "That's not how you do it", demonstrating himself, eventually forcing person A to follow his example.
Yoo Ah-in attended the investigation twice in May and September. The Seoul Central District Court stated that although the suspect (Yoo Ah-in) is indeed suspected of inducing others to use marijuana, whether it constitutes 'incitement' is still a matter of discussion. It is expected that the controversy over the incitement to use drugs will also become the battlefield between the prosecutor and the lawyer in the future.
In addition, on the 19th, the prosecution indicted Yoo Ah-in on suspicion of violating the Drug Control Act, inducing marijuana usage, incitement to destroy evidence, violating medical laws, and fraud, without detention. It was revealed that Yoo Ah-in is accused of administering 4 types of drugs, including propofol, 181 times under the guise of cosmetic surgery anesthesia at hospitals in Seoul from September 2020 to March 2022. Furthermore, he is suspected of illegally purchasing over 1100 tablets of two types of sleeping pills under someone else's name 44 times from May 2021 to August last year.
