The FIFTY FIFTY incident continues to garner attention, with ongoing support from the members' families. Various individuals associated with the case have been sharing their perspectives and revealing behind-the-scenes secrets.
On the 14th, an anonymous netizen shared a statement on "the qoo" forum regarding the FIFTY FIFTY incident. The statement revealed that after the success of "CUPID," representatives from ATTRAKT and The Givers could not agree on additional investments, company operations, and conducting overseas activities. The friction between the parties grew, leading the members to rely on the opinion of those they were close to.
However, someone informed them, "Do you know that all the investment money is debt? You have to repay it all." This revelation came as a shock to members who were unaware of the investment situation, prompting them to demand a clear settlement agreement.
Despite ATTRAKT providing settlement statements to the members through The Givers, the statements showed zero album sales and income from music sources at that time, which raised suspicions among the members regarding the company. ATTRAKT explained that this was because "CUPID" had gained popularity overseas first and had only recently started selling in Korea, so the income had not yet reached the point of being reflected in the settlement.
However, the members did not accept this explanation, feeling that their investment of several billion won had turned into debt, yet they were unable to receive any money from the settlement. Faced with these two issues simultaneously, the members decided to file a lawsuit.
After FIFTY FIFTY filed a provisional disposition lawsuit on June 19, the representative has consistently maintained the belief of "being able to resolve misunderstandings with the members and hoping for their return."
However, in an interview with Korean media on July 14, the representative stated, "August 5th is the 'Golden Period.' Once the court delivers its judgment, the company and I can no longer take care of them. I believe they must come back and have a conversation with us before August 5th."
Despite this, industry insiders still believe that FIFTY FIFTY will not withdraw their lawsuit. Another individual involved in the matter stated, "FIFTY FIFTY firmly believes they have a 100% chance of winning because historically, in cases where a management company and artist engage in a lawsuit over settlement issues, the artist tends to prevail."
Furthermore, they mentioned, "The situation has reached this point due to the mistakes made by the representative. I don't think they can easily backtrack now; they will have to continue moving forward."
After witnessing the industry's comments on FIFTY FIFTY, netizens couldn't help but express their opinions, suggesting that the members may be uninformed. Some commented, "Isn't the situation clear? Don't they use the internet? Hasn't anyone properly explained the situation to them?" Others added, "Even if they win the lawsuit, their public image has already suffered a significant blow."
"TWIT TWIT TWIT TWIT..." "How can they be so oblivious?" "Why can't they grasp the situation?" "Are they... id*ots? Even from a different perspective, there's nothing advantageous for them." "Do they even have the means to settle? What have they been doing?"
