NewJeans at the 2023 Lollapalooza: How did the crowd react to their performance?

Not even a year after their debut but NewJeans have recently performed at the T-MOBILE Stage at 2023 Lollapalooza. In front of 70,000 audience who enthusiastically sang along with them. The young and talented girls hyped up the crowd by performing one of their songs, Hype Boy.
NewJeans performed the band version of their songs Cookie, Hurt, and Attention, which served a different aura. They also performed their recent releases, OMG, Ditto, NewJeans, Super Shy, ETA, Cool With You, Get Up, and ASAP. NewJeans performed a total of 12 songs live for about 45 minutes that wowed the crowd.
The members of NewJeans expressed their happiness by communicating with the audience with their fluent English skills. “Let's make unforgettable memories together“, Hyein said.
It was their first performance in the U.S. since their debut last year, August. Their debut drew attention from the general public right away as they topped the local and international charts. Hype Boy also became the longest-charting K-pop Female Act on Billboard Global 200, it charted for 35 weeks.
After their Lollapalooza performance, the Hashtag “#LOLLAJEANS” ranked second in the real-time trend on Twitter US. In addition, NewJeans the girls also met Billie Eilish at the event and they posted their picture with the famous singer on their official Instagram account that garnered 1 million likes.
The agency ADOR said that the fans' enthusiasm was great even before the girls went to the stage and when the group performed thousands of audience have gathered to watch their stage. The fans responded to the hyped-up stage by singing with them. Meanwhile, K-netizens were jealous because the crowd almost watch a NewJeans concert as they performed 12 songs.
NewJeans will also perform on another large stage at Japan Music Festival on August 19, 2023. This just proves that everywhere they go, people know them and their songs.
