2023-10-11
The new YG girl group, BABYMONSTER, has already gained significant attention as they are the first girl group to debut from YG Entertainment after 7 years, and also the younger sister group of BLACKPINK. Although there were rumors that they would debut at the end of September, there was no debut. The official announcement today has confirmed that the group will officially debut in November.
YG Entertainment uploaded a "Coming Soon" poster for the upcoming debut of BABYMONSTER on their official SNS at 1 PM on the 10th. They finally confirmed the debut in November, with the MV shooting taking place at the end of October.
YG has made several adjustments with famous overseas composers and in-house producers for the BABYMONSTER project, ensuring the debut song is released with exceptionally high quality.
YG stated, "We were very careful when choosing the title song, and this process took a little bit longer than the initially planned debut in September. We hope for everyone's understanding." They explained the reason for the delay in their debut date.
The members of BABYMONSTER have now started practicing the choreography for their title song and will start shooting their music video around the end of October. All the staff at YG are also working hard for their successful debut. YG also revealed: "All preparations are now complete. If we make our official debut in November, we will continue to do our best. We hope for everyone's attention."
BABYMONSTER consists of 7 members from Korea, Japan, and Thailand. However, it is still unknown whether member Ahyeon (Jung Yaeun), also known as "Little Jennie", will debut with the group. BABYMONSTER's official YouTube channel currently has 3.12 million subscribers and is considered a "monster rookie".
However, YG keeps postponing the debut date, and Korean netizens are sarcastically commenting: "Let's see how soon it will be~", "It's really sooooooooooon!", "Is the date just for reference?!", "Call me when there's a date!" and so on, mocking YG.
